I love, love these boots. I first purchased them last year in black and found them so incredibly comfy, sturdy, that this year I ordered them in brown as well. They're also really good looking. I was not easy on these boots (bought them one year ago, so wore them winter of 2014 / early 2015) and wore them practically every day in rain and lots of snow. My feet never once got cold, and that's saying something. I, like so many of us, spend a lot of time on my feet and found them terrifically comfortable. I am now in my 40s and refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes / clothing -- all done. These were fabulous. I've had other La Canadienne boots which, like these, I have worn and not babied, and they still look as good as when I first purchased them eight+ years ago. That leaves me feeling really confident about these and their longevity. Read more
I never expected to love a pair of boots right out of the box, but it happened with these. I took an earlier reviewer’s advice, and order one size down from my usual La Canadienne size. These fit perfectly. So comfortable. The heel doesn't slip off when I walk. I ordered these because of the lug sole. Lots of slippin’ and sliddin’ on the snow/ice last winter with those good looking La Canadienne boots that don’t have non-skid soles. The stone oiled-suede works for me with the color as shown in the photos online. Read more
If you have a lot of money to spend on a cute shoe that won't last, these are for you. After 2 months, the zipper on one shoe broke and the small leather strap holding the buckle in place broke on the other shoe--granted I wore them often, but wasn't doing any extreme activities, just walking around and sitting in an office. Let me say that I love La Canadienne boots.. I have one pair and i have literally worn them out over 13 years. I can't part with them even today (black suede- rubber sole). I am size 9M with a thin foot and thin ankles and I really wanted to love these boots but they just didn't do it for me. I think they run slightly large because my foot was swishing around in them. The sole is stiff and rubbery and really heavy and clunky .. and I tend to drag my feet already - in the trial wear around the house - they scuffed my wood floors. ( I think the clunk factor made me drag my feet even more). That said, if you are looking for something warm - these would be great. They have a thin fleece lining and my feet got hot wearing them with only thin socks. Also I ordered the color shown and I thought it would be a chocolate brown. What came was more like a dusty olive color - even so, the suede is of high quality and nice. So again, I am conflicted but I decided to send them back. Read more
The Camilla boots are comfortable, weather resistant, and perfect for every day running around. I live in rainy Washington state and these are great for the weather here. I like their down to earth, somewhat rugged style. I can tuck skinny jeans into them easily because of the zipper and, of course, I can wear them with boot cut pants. My normal size fits great and has room for winter socks! Read more
I love the brand and I have bought it multiple times. Durable, fits as expected, very well made, water proof (tested commuting in Chicago winter) and looks great. The color is not as pictured though. In the picture it looks brown but it is more of a taupe color. Which is perfect for my needs! Read more
Favorite boots ever, I love the tall skinny ankle. Most comfortable boot I've ever had, the tread is rugged, but light. But I spilled water on them and it stained right away. They need to be sprayed with silicon before worn. Wish I had done that! The color is more beige than the brown in the photo on Amazon, but I don't mind, I like beige. Also, I usually wear a 9.5 or 10, but the 9 fits great! Read more
