I picked up the LAMTTO upgraded 11-inch screen mainly to bring some modern features into my older car, and honestly, it does exactly what I needed it to do. Well, I have a couple of Subaru's (2011 &2013) that don't have any camera's on them. The first one I bought was for my daughter's car since she is going to college. Not used to driving in city. So, when I saw this did airplay, and she could use her iPhone w/ it, along w/ the price (Today's Deal), I thought I'd give it a shot. Fairly easy hook-up. I didn't want wires showing, so the hardest part for me was running the 3 wires (power/Auxiliary/back-up cam) behind the control panel. Worked great! So good in fact, I had to install one in the wife's car. The ONLY issue that we have is that the knob tighting the screen seems to loosen and it drops occasionally. Installation was very simple and connectivity was quick and easy. You have the option of Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Great size for my needs, its not too big and obnoxious. Does come with a back up camera but I did not use it since my car already has a built in camera. Sound quality is what you'd expect. I opted for AUX connection, but you can connect this via bluetooth to your car as well. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their car's connectivity. Read more
This is quite the upgrade for a vehicle with no display. The screen is bright and sharp. I would even say I would use this as a secondary monitor. The touch and navigation is responsive and very fast. Had zero issues connecting with either an android or an iPhone. To the point where it's quite aggressive in connecting to the last connected device. I say it's a good thing as the connection has zero issues. No complicated setup either, just literally plug and play. It's an android interface, so it's easy enough for anyone to navigate through and customize to ones liking, including the wallpaper. Gmaps options like 3d view and satellite view can be changed on the fly while having a secondary app open like spotify. The included camera is serviceable, just enough to see the rear. Perfectly fine for how tiny it is, a nice extra. To my surprise the screen has a speaker, again serviceable and yet another bonus for the overall package. I'm blown away with the quality of the screen and overall compatibility with both iPhones and androids. And finally the adhesive tape is tough, this thing isn't going flying anywhere. Read more
The wireless CarPlay screen is wide and narrow and works great to not block visibility. The image is clear and sharp, with very little glare. Startup time was a few seconds and turned on immediately with the car. The unit was easy to pair up with my phone and the sound transmit to the stereo without problems.
