Great Looking, Wash Up Nice, Grown Man Sizes And Work As Intended
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm retired now and living alone. There's been a learning curve with this homemaking stuff, but I know what I like. It should perform well, look good, and provide good value for the price. I'm frugal, but not cheesy, and at this stage of life, I appreciate a tiny bit of luxury now and then. I've been on a quest for new towels for a couple of years now since my old ones were getting past their prime. I'm also trying to spiff up the condo a bit. Most review sites like to send us to overpriced and unnecessarily thick and unwieldy towels from boutique stores. Recently, I found two reviews that rated these Lands' End Towels top choices. The things that attracted me were reasonable price, the midweight that I like, good reviews and more than just girly pastel colors. These towels are currently half the price of a comparable set from the top rated "barn" place that has no customer reviews. Out of the box, they washed up beautifully on the quick cycle using cold water, and dried quickly with low heat senser drying. There was a surprisingly small amount of lint, and among four sets, I found only one loose thread. (I have a solution for that, by the way, I took a pair of scissors and snipped it off.) The towels are generously sized, with no skimpy, miniature wash cloths here! Thank you. I'll be using them for first time tomorrow morning, but based on how they feel and handle, I am not concerned they won't function as expected. (I'll be back to correct this if necessary.) I'm using the Deep Sea Navy color in my personal bath. This navy is a true navy, nice and dark. They look great against BM Revere Pewter walls, black vanity and top, white fixtures and trim, and silver metal hardware. I also bought a set of Fresh Thyme for the guest bath/laundry. They also look terrific against light and dark grays, blacks, whites and silvers. Lands' End, you have a winner here and it's much appreciated.. Please keep them as they are. Don't follow the herd and try to cheapen them or shrink the sizes. Read more
