I really like these pants. They are mid a mid weight fabric, nice amount of stretch. I ordered black in the 1x and Extra large petite. For reference, I am 5'2-1/2" tall. My weight is 197lbs. Due to medical conditions I can't stand fabric too tight, belts irritating fabrics, zippers ,etc. These were perfect for me in that regard. No lumps or bumps show. Differences between the two sizes are as follows. I can fit into both sizes, no pinching at all in the waist. Most of my weight is carried in my belly, no problems there. Overall, the 1x was slightly bigger allover, but still looked good on. I like the length of the 1x more, a little longer, yet still could wear with sneakers or sandals. I loved the fit of the Extra large better as they were more form fitting without being tight. The Extra large were a Petite, so a noticeable difference there. I like the length better in the 1X. I like the look of smooth front pants (don't need anything more protruding from this belly!), as well as no jabbing from hooks, zippers and buttons. I have not washed them yet, so you would have to refer to other reviews for that. I have worn them throughout the day and they are so comfortable. No excessive wrinkling and no baggy knees. They do have a little extra bump out on the hips, which I would prefer they didn't. But, as hard as it is for me to find comfortable pants, I will live with it. I bought these for traveling where I want something comfy and easy to wear (and packable) without looking like athletic wear. These are as comfortable as leggings, but look more like pants, so win/win. I like the wide waistband which doesn't roll. I like the legs that are narrow but not TOO narrow, so they have the silhouette of trousers. And I like the sturdy jersey fabric which gives these more structure then leggings although they are more lightweight than jeans. They do run large - I am a size 12 and usually take a Large, but the Medium fits perfectly. Read more

The pants fit nicely and are comfortable. I ordered the Tall size in size small. I am 5 feet 8 and weigh 125 lbs. I do miss the fact that there are no pockets in the front or back but this was not a deal breaker. They are machine washable. Read more

These pull on slim fit pants fit great and look polished, not baggy or sloppy like some other brands. The grey color is slightly less stretchy than the black, perhaps due to the cloth blend. The length is perfect for me and the material is of good quality. I'll have to see if they launder well and don't fade like many black pants do. UPDATE: I've changed my rating to 1 star simply because I can't get these returned as defective. These are great pants (ordered thru Lands End website). This pair ordered thru their site on Amazon came with the inside seam unsown along the thigh plus they are not the slim style - it's the regular wider leg pant - these are obviously seconds which should not be sold. Unfortunately I can't return them. Thru Amazon you have to go to an UPS store for them to ship it back - I live at least an 80 mile trip from the nearest. We usually print a label, box something up and drop off at a UPS pickup location 1/4 mile from our house - which Amazon doesn't seem to allow anymore. These slacks are the most comfortable I’ve ever had for everyday and year-round wear for running errands, going to medical appts, casual social, sporting events, etc. They are particularly excellent for travel. They wear will and never shrink in the wash. I prefer those without pockets as I think they are more flattering. But I own both styles because sometimes I want a pocket for my phone. There are different weights of fabric so warmth isn’t an issue. The fabric quality is consistently excellent. The colors are basic shades every wardrobe needs: Black, navy, gray, moss green, hunter green, etc. In fall-winter I love pairing my mid or high-rise slacks with the matching quarter-zip or full, zip-front jackets. The Star Fish line is built for long term comfort/wear, no wrinkles, and basic wardrobe staples. They are easy to get on and off and perfect for doctors’ appointments, hip shots, and X-rays because: NO ZIPPERS in the slacks.
