I'm a long time fan of this style of canvas totes. I have many--some are more than 30 years old and are still going strong. This Lands' End tote has all the qualities I've come to expect from a good canvas tote and more. The color is what drew me in initially. It's a beautiful gray, but it's the gray and natural striped cotton webbing that really sold it. Several other things unique to this tote make it a real favorite. The extra long straps make this a bag that is truly comfortable to sling over your shoulder. The extra internal pockets are a huge bonus, and the top zippered closure is a big plus, too. This tote is a beast! I love tote bags and have always wanted a Land's End tote bag, and I finally got one. The quality is amazing - the canvas is heavy duty and the zipper sings! However, I would suggest that if you desire one, get it while you're young. I'm 62 and use a walker and the bag is now too heavy for me to carry around. I've put it to good use as an electronics bag (chargers, cables, ear buds, etc.) and I'm thinking of getting the smaller version to carry. All in all, it's a fantastic value. These days it's so disparaging to spend your money on something only to find out that it is doomed for the landfill. Wow, this is huge, and just what I was seeking. Very heavy duty canvas, zip top and interior pockets. You can fit a lot in here and it is super sturdy. I like the gray color (won't show dirt that easy) and I know Lands' End makes a quality product, as I have purchased their items over the years. Overall I definitely recommend this tote bag. Exactly what i was looking for! The handles are long enough to hang from shoulder. These are high quality canvas, heavy duty and should last a long time. I love the zip top, keeps everything inside even as bag is thrown all over the place in the car! It's heavier than the thinner totes, something to consider if you are searching for light weight tote. I bought this bag for overnights in my caregiving job and I just love it! It holds everything I need and it's nice to have everything in one place instead of carrying three bags like I was doing before. It is very well made and is very sturdy. This is an awesome tote. It is flat-bottomed and made of heavy canvas, so it stands up by itself. The stitching is super sturdy. The large-size tote is tall and wide enough to hold magazines and folders. It comes with an attached key-holder strap. It has an outside pocket and four inside pockets, the largest of which has a strap to keep the pocket from gaping when it’s filled. I bought the zip-top tote so I could close the zipper if I was caught in the rain. That has happened to me a few times, and the zip top helped keep everything dry. I used to carry around both a purse and a tote, but now I just keep everything in the tote. That’s how useful this tote is. Highly recommend! Read more
This has a fair number of pockets to hold sunglasses, keys, and miscellaneous items. It has a top zipper, which I appreciate. However, keep in mind the bag is a bit on the heavy side as it’s made of thick heavy material. Also, because of the light canvas color, it can be scuffed up easily even when you’re careful.
