I use this product with my gaming laptop to allow better airflow, I’ve noticed a 15c drop in temperature using this stand as opposed to having the laptop flat on the table. The stand is sturdy but can be a little finicky if you want to adjust it, you almost have to remove the laptop from it to change its position, I put a little mark on the center cross member so I know exactly how wide to spread it so that the fan intakes are not blocked, takes about 3 seconds to set up. I needed some kind of a stand for my speakers to give it a bit of angle, and I wasn't finding anything large enough that could handle the weight, which is around 20 some odd pounds per speaker. I found these and they are absolutely perfect, they weigh pretty much nothing, they can support up to 35 lb easily and they are really nicely built and finished. I have nothing bad to say about it, I wouldn't do anything differently and they just work beautifully. I'm not sure how they'll work with laptops, as I'm just using these as a permanent mount, and they never move. I couldn't find anything at 5x the price that would do the job as well as these. I have a 17inch HP, a rather large laptop so I was concerned by some of the reviews before buying but my word. Why didn't I get one of these sooner? It holds my laptop firmly at any adjustment and better yet, its portable. I love it! Read more
