I bought an inexpensive standing desk and while well made the two piece top had a seam down the middle and very severe, sharp edges to the top. This edge started to become uncomfortable if I tested my hand there. I researched desk top pads and almost bought one that actually covered both the top and front face/edge of the desk. However, it was. $35. I continued my search and found this option for $12. I was skeptical but it is amazingly nice. It doesn't cover the vertical area of the front edge but I just pull it a bit past the front edge and it softens that sharp corner! It's thin with cork underneath, has a nice stitched edge and true color. It was rolled up but I just put a couple cans on the edges to help flatten out more quickly.
