My Coco is a chihuahua mix and weighs a little over 11 lbs. I received the Octopus toy today and we've had a great time playing with it. I love that the material is soft and that it squeaks. I've had my sweet rescue for 1-1/2 years and she never played with toys, UNTIL I started encouraging her to play with a Lambchop toy I got for her (that's soft and has a squeaker too). She loves playing with that toy and when I saw the Octopus, I knew I had to get it for her. The colors are really pretty and the toy is just really cute. I think I'll name him Legs. Read more

This little guy is so freaking cute and is very well made. The squeak is loud but not overly so, and the construction is really sturdy. Itis stuffed well enough it can be thrown for an impromptu game of fetch. I imagine, if you are a dog, it would be fun to chew on all the different tentacles and drag all over the place. I ordered it as a gift for my brother's pit bull, in the full knowledge it wouldn't survive the holidays, but hoping. Sadly, when it arrived it was so small! Definitely too small for such a big boy, and not even large enough for my kid's rottie/collie mix. So I did what you do in these situations: I initiated a return, stating my issue in the appropriate place To my utter shock, an hour later I had been issued a full refund with the reason they listed being they had sent me the wrong item. I do not even have to send the toy back! I didn't ask for this; it didn't occur to me to even consider it. They just did it on their own. Which is why, despite the item I received being too small, made me want to run over here and leave a great review To make sure the toy finds a loving home with a little woofer, we'll be donating it to one of the smaller local shelters. I just rescued a dog from the shelter. She is super sweet and playful but she loves to chew her toys so I needed to buy her ones more durable to play with. This toy caught my eye but I was concerned that it might be too large for my small 7 pound terrier mix. After receiving it, I really loved the colors and the way it looked and my dog loves playing with it. Everything about it is great except that within a few weeks of playing with it, she already managed to make a small tear in it. It's not to the point where I would take it away from her toy box but I just wish it was more durable. Read more

I have ordered this octopus toy 3 times, and noticed right away that my most recent order was not as durable as the previous two. I even checked my order dates to verify, and yes indeed the last one I received didn't even last a third of the time as the previous two. My last purchase was 11/24/25 so it's been less than 2 months before this toy needs to be replaced (as opposed to 9 months before!). My 14lb Havanese pulled this one apart right away - the legs just came right off. It felt cheaper too, I noticed it immediately. I am purchasing this one more time because maybe the last one was a fluke, and this is one my dog's top favorite toys so I'm willing to give it another try. We’ve had it for awhile now and it’s still (mostly) in one piece. Has held up well for our heavy chewing puppy. It lost a tentacle but that’s nothing compared to the level of destruction our dog has put other toys through in much shorter amounts of time. Recommend for heavy chewers and will likely buy again! It didn’t last long but she loved it while it lasted. Belgian Malinois puppies are hard on toys so this may last longer for others. Lots of fun for tugging! She hasn’t quite figured out squeaky toys, but it’s not loud or obnoxious at all. Read more
