This kastu Lavender Oils Soap Bar for Face & Body is a set of five 120 gram bars of soap for a total of 21.1 ounces of soap. They are vegan and hypoallergenic and are suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. The set comes with a soap sleeve. It's made in China. I have different preferences for soap depending on how I use it. For the shower, I prefer a creamy oil-based soap for deep moisturizing. For hand washing, especially before doing meal preparation, I prefer using a glycerin based soap that doesn't load my hands down with oils. This product falls in the second category. It lathers up well and rinses cleanly. Although it calls itself a moisturizing soap, I find it cleans my hands thoroughly, giving them a very squeaky clean feeling, yet doesn't dry them out. The ingredients of this glycerin-based soap include grape and lavender oil, lavender extract, and licorice extract. It has a mild, but definite lavender scent which is quite pleasant and leaves my hands scented after using. The bars are on the small side, but that's actually better for hand washing than the larger bars. I like the fact that each bar is individually wrapped for freshness. My order is good until 1/29. The box says that the soap uses 100% organic oils, but I'm not sure if this is true or not. That's not important to me. At the time of this review, the price is very reasonable for a set of five bars, and I highly recommend it for when you want your skin clean without being loaded down with a lot of oily and creamy additives. I've had difficulty finding plain lavender soap. I mostly find soaps that are lavender mixed with some other scent so I was excited to try these. They arrive in a brown kraft style paper box and include a mesh wash/scrub net. Each bar is individually wrapped and labeled. Even wrapped in plastic, I could smell the lavender before I opened the box and it smelled lovely! They are a good size. Similar to other artisan soaps...just a little smaller than a mass manufactured brand bars. The color is a gorgeous deep purple. First use went great! I used the included scrub bag and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of lather! Scent was relaxing in the shower and soap left no color or film residue after rinsing. My favorite thing was how well this soap removed my eye makeup. Not a trace of makeup left! My skin didn't feel dry at all after using. After my first use I laid the bar in the bag on my shower ledge and noticed it was a little gooey on the bottom the next time I got in. I've started hanging the bag so it can dry better and that stopped the gooeyness. Not a problem, just mentioning it to suggest readers either hang it or use a well draining soap dish. Overall I'm pleased with these soaps. They make a nice gift set all together or you could buy them and gift individual bars in like spa themed gift bags. Read more

I like the soap overall. The bars are pretty, well wrapped & packaged. It lathers nicely and I personally, liked the way my skin felt after rinsing. I did not have a squeaky feel. I had a soft, moisturized feel, almost like I put a bit of oil on after showering. The thing that I felt bad about was....the soap smelled amazing from the time I took it out of my mailbox (yes, I smelled it right away), taking it out of packaging and sniffing it several times, all great. As soon as I rinsed, scent gone. I really wish it would have lasted longer. I typically shower before bed and was hoping the lavender would aid in more restful sleep. It does not last after rinsing. Overall- liked it, wished scent lasted longer Read more

This is a lovely lavender soap with a soft, mild, natural-type scent. I specifically choose it as a more elegant-looking but still fairly neutral and reasonably priced option for a guest bathroom, and it works perfectly for that purpose. The bars are on the smaller side, but they’re just right for handwashing or guest use. They’re nicely packaged and have a pretty, vibrant purple color that looks great in a soap dish and adds a bit of a “fancy” touch. The scent is light and pleasant without lingering too much after rinsing. It’s also not overly drying, though I wouldn’t describe it as especially moisturizing or ideal for very sensitive skin. It lathers well on its own, even though it does come with a mesh net for extra foam if you want to use it as a body soap. The ingredients seem fairly gentle and natural-leaning as well. At around $15 for a set of five, I think this is a great value for what you get. It may not be anything extraordinary in terms of skincare benefits, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do, so I’d give it 5 stars. Read more

This is a typical bar of soap. The size is about average in my estimate. It has a strong smell of lavender, which some people love and others not so much, but if you're reading this then I assume you're a fan. The smell stays with you after using it although like most soap smells it does wear off after a few hours depending on what you're doing and where you're doing it. The soap lathers and moisturizes well on my body in the shower. I did not try it in the bath, and I only use specifically-labelled glycerin facial cleansers on my face, which this isn't, so I can't comment on how it works on faces. While it does say it is for face, there really aren't a lot of details including whether it is non-comedogenic, so I didn't want to take the chance with a breakout. Overall I think this is a fine lavender body soap and can easily recommend it for that purpose. Read more

Great looking soap bar with natural ingredients. The bars have a great scent to them that’s not overpowering. They come packaged nicely and have an artisan soap vibe so leaving this packaged in a guest bath looks great. My wife really enjoys these soap bars and mainly uses it as a hand soap. It lathers nicely and hands feel great after rinsing. Best of all is the price. At a little over $3/bar combined with the look, scent and quality, this is great purchase. Read more
