I used this for a preschool class that I was reading a story called "The Balancing Act" and needed something to demonstrate weight differences. I was not sure if this would be what I needed but it turned out to be just perfect. It is easy to put together, the colors are bright and cheery and it is larger than I anticipated which was good. I also had bought additional weights for this and they turned out to be the exact ones that come with the set but with more and different weight sizes. Perfect!! These are a great resource for homeschoolers or teachers. My kids love exploring and playing with these. We also got the balance set to go with it. We have had this a little while but probably will be using it more now than we had before as more just a toy/exploration tool.
