Need more of them

Maxon RichardsMarch 2, 2026✓ Verified purchase

This is one my favorite things I’ve bought. Used in a camper and it was the only light needed for the room. Used during power outages, battery holds up great and the colors can change. Can also use as a charger. Has a strong magnet and strong caribeener making it easy to put anywhere needed. Read more

Really Good, Easy On The Eyes

Craig LDecember 18, 2023✓ Verified purchase

We get power outages around here, often enough that it's a problem. I began to see that my main problem was not having a light over the kitchen sink. I can light the stove area, bathroom, and we have little lights for the rest of the place, but you'd be surprised how much time you spend at the sink or kitchen counters! And we have well water, so I'm using a garden pump sprayer for water. I need to see when I'm doing dishes, washing hands, or using utensils. I've learned that standard LED light is "white" light, which really is hard on the eyes. It's okay for an hour maybe, but for a night power outage, it's a problem. I looked everywhere for some sort of camping or tent light that also provides "warm" or "soft" yellow-ish light. This has that option!! This unit is somewhat more expensive than a basic camping light, but with millions of hours of run time (they say -- okay, exaggerating a bit), I figured it might work. I wouldn't be able to recharge a USB battery without some kind of power pack, but with a pretty long run time, I thought I'd give it a try. What I hadn't realized is that I don't need the light to be on constantly! I just need a good, bright, all-around, wide dispersal light for when I'm doing work at the sink. This works perfectly!! When you press the power button, it also has a "status" readout of 4 blue lights. They let you know if it's fully or partially charged, so I can check it once a month to make sure it's good to go. There's a pretty powerful magnet on the bottom (or top if it's hanging down), and also a simple hook. I bought a metal, flat plant hanger and mounted that above the sink. This will physically hang on that metal, or it also will just stick there by the magnet. With adjustable brightness, which also works on the "soft" mode (click through for the modes), it's an excellent substitution for the main AC-powered kitchen light over the sink. We mostly get 2-hour outages, but often enough, a 48-hour outage. This will cover both situations. I'm fairly confident it also would handle a 1-week outage. And if that happens, I'm pretty sure we'll be able to find somewhere to recharge USB-charged lithium-ion batteries. For simple camping? Yeah, this is WAY better than a "white" flashlight or lantern. And for you old-timers, it's also easily comparable to a Coleman propane lantern, with the hassle of fuel and pumping. Oh: And no, it doesn't have a remote control. You have to use what we call "hands" and "fingers" to access the functionality of the device. :-) Read more

Impressed.

HeatherJune 8, 2024✓ Verified purchase

This little lantern is awesome. I bought it for two purposes. First, to light my closet (the overhead light needs to be rewired and I don't have it in me to tackle that right now) and second, as a backup light when power goes out during storms. It works great for the closet: on the brightest setting, it's very bright (so much brighter than I expected from something this size!) and I love that it has a folding carabiner so I can hang it on a hook yet fold away when not in use. On the lowest setting, the brightness is still decent and the battery is impressive. I didn't intend to use this as a night light, but I tested it one night and found that I'm comforted by the glow of warm light in the next room. I've used it for 6 nights on low and it's still showing a nearly full charge. There are three hue settings, from warm to cool light. I think that's a fantastic feature. The coolest setting is great for task work and the warmer setting is perfect for a calming ambiance or outside where bugs are around. The compact size and relatively light weight of this lantern is nice. I purchased it in white and it has a clean/minimal appearance. It's not something I'd take backpacking, but is perfect for car camping, indoor use, and maybe even hiking if you don't mind a small amount of extra weight. My only complaint at this point is the power button. I would love to see the power button be slightly raised or at the very least, reflective. Anything to quickly indicate where it is when in the dark since the buttons are flush with the casing. I've found this on a few other lanterns as well, and it drives me crazy. If I'm in my tent, I want to be able to turn on a light instantly, not fumble around trying to figure out where the power button is. Also a challenge for someone like my dad, who loves having extra light to accomplish tasks but has low vision and often struggles with turning things off and on. I may see if a little round felt pad or silicone bumper will stick to it (though the button feels like silicone so I'm not sure that will work). If not, I suspect something would stick directly above the button, on the plastic casing. Have only charged it once so far (to top off right after receiving it), but plugs in easily. A quick push of the power button will show you how much charge remains. The cord is only about a foot long, so I just plugged into my laptop. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, if more colors are offered in the future I think it would fun to have one with a natural woodgrain appearance or an earthy sage green color. Overall - quite happy with the purchase (minus the flush button issue) and look forward to continued use. Read more
