This is a low cost USB powered LED desk lamp. It is bright and can also be used with 3 AA batteries. Very light weight and works just fine for me to light up a dark corner of the desk. USB power cord is 18" long. Could easily add weight in the battery compartment if needed. Caution - USB power is present at the battery contacts if adding weight. Also, batteries should be removed when powered from USB. Not designed to recharge batteries, just run from USB -OR- batteries. I almost sent this back. Using at my office, at least 8 hours daily. It takes 3 AA batteries, brand new ones didn't last 2 days. Brightness of light dims before end of day one. I use the USB plug in and it works great. Read more

The LED bulbs make the batteries last a LONG time. The lamps give an adequate amount of light, and the gooseneck lets me easily point the light exactly where I want. Read more

I bought this little lamp because of the very affordable price. I wanted something very simple and not too bright. I was intrigued because it allows for two different power sources:USB and battery. Well I did NOT like the little cord included which plugs into a usb adapter...in order to use it I had to plug my cellphone in elsewhere. Also the lamp was SO LIGHTWEIGHT that it would tip over every time I went to turn it on. I think using the batteries would be ideal because it wouldve added more weight to the design... And wouldve also solved the annoying problem of the little short cord that is difficult to plug in. I ended up returning this flimsy little lamp for a more sturdy option. Read more

Surprisingly bright and versatile! I love that I can charge it up OR use external batteries. I try not to buy solely rechargeable things because once that battery no longer holds much of a charge, the whole thing is kinda junk. So I have hopes for this lasting a long time. Read more
