These are great pants, I own them in several colors. The material is thick & good quality. They are very comfortable, almost like wearing PJs. The zipper is a bit hard to work, but they have stretch to them, so I just leave them zipped all the time & slip them on & off. Overall a great fit I weigh about 240 pounds and I’m 5’4 I ordered the 18+ and they fit like a glove very comfortable very breathable. However, I would takeoff two stars for two reasons 1). Oh, the zipper not going all the way up are usually wear a 16 however, with slacks they typically fit a bit tighter on your waist, which is why I went a size up by two zipper for whatever reason gets stuck just at the waistband, it will go all the way up the side of your hip, but stop at the waistband, which in my line of work, I’m required to bend down and stretch and squat. You can imagine an unsecure zipper being quite annoying during work. 2). The front two pockets are functional not extremely deep, however, manageable but the back pockets are not. They are purely decoration which understandable you are getting what you paid for but in women’s clothing, there seems to be a lot of unpunctual, extra fabric item to carry lots of keys, papers and notes. Two pockets is good but four pockets would be better. Overall I do like these slacks. They are nice and comfortable soft fabric and the perfect shade of black. However, there are a few design flaws and all that could be fixed, such as removing the fake pockets and adding real ones in the back, and also adding a hook at the top of the zipper to help with keeping the pants from falling down or unzipping during work hours. Bought these in 12 Short about a week ago, I really liked the feel of the fabric, soft but firm however they were too big. I reordered in 10 Short and they were a perfect fit, i especially liked the length, I am 5'1" about 130lbs and most petite pants are still too long and l need to pay to have the shortened. Not these ankle pants perfect length! No alterations needed, saved $12 right there! Ordered 2 more pairs 1 pair grey and 1 pair were a mulberry color, not purple or pink hard to describe but the color will go with most other colors. The grey, i did not like so much, very light grey, i kept them because the fit is so great, and will wear them in the spring but a dark grey or navy would colors they should add to this line. Love these pants! The fit is perfect, the stretch is perfect, the colour is perfect. So why 4 stars? As other reviewers have pointed out, the zipper is damn near unfunctional. I don't know what the deal is, but I can get it up about 3/4 of the way then it just STOPS. I had to have my husband zip it the rest of the way up for me, and he struggled with it, too. Luckily, I can get these over my hips without unzipping them with a little work, so when I wear them, I just leave them zipped up. I'm going to try some lubricant to see if that makes the zipper a bit better, but I love the pants so much that I'm thinking of taking them to a pro to have the zipper replaced.
