I'm a stickler when it comes to how the pages actually tear off pads. These are as good as the more costly Tops Docket Gold (the gold standard for perforated tear-offs). Nothing bugs me more about a writing pad then one that has jagged / uneven edges when you tear a page off. Nice quality paper with no bleed through of ink. The backboard of the pad is pretty wimpy but not a problem if your writing at your desk. For field work you'll need to attach them to a clip-board or inside some sort of pad-folio. Excellent product for office use. Read more

It's paper. The quality and look are like every other quality notepad. I do like that recycled material was used. The two notepads are neatly shrink wrapped together just as you would find in Staples, or any other store that provides office or school supplies. Read more

I have a special drawer in my office file folder that is always full of 8.5 x 11 canary yellow notepads. I go through them like crazy. I prefer to buy them predrilled with holes, but this pad was easy to use with my 3-hole paper punch. I knew that they didn't have pre-drilled holes, so I was not expecting the holes. I like how great the performations are at the top. I could easily rip some pages off, slide them into my 3-hole punch, and pop them into my folders. It was a breeze. I love the color. It is a nice canary yellow and not faded like some pads I've gotten in the past. The cardboard on the back is not as thick as some others but I don't mind because I either take the pages off and put them in my notebook or I write on my desk. I never use these pads while I'm moving around. I use pencils and old-fashioned ballpoint pens rather than gel pens. The ink did not bleed, and the pencils worked just fine on the paper. There was no odor to the paper, and it had nice, clean lines. I love that you get 50 sheets on the pad. I need all the paper I can get. 2 pads = 100 pages. I love the 11/32" spacing between the lines. These pads are assembled in the USA. This set of two pads arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I had several pages filled up with notes almost immediately and was delighted. I knew the paper was recycled, and it was fine with me. If anything, the paper felt soft and had a nice sheen. Kudos to the manufacturers. I highly recommend 5+ stars. Read more

The WritePads Legal Pads offer a writing experience that's unparalleled in its simplicity and quality. As someone who relies heavily on note-taking for work and personal organization, I was excited to try out these wide-ruled legal pads, and they certainly exceeded my expectations. The paper is nice and "soft," so it takes ink really well, and the perforations are well done so the pages are easy to tear out (but also stay attached well until you intentionally tear them out). My one issue with the pads is that the backing cardboard is either too thin or too soft, so the pad doesn't stay rigid while you use it. I like to use my notepads holding them in my hand or on my lap, so it's important that the backing be solid. These just flop over as you hold them. So if you're using them with a clipboard or on a desk, you probably won't even notice this, but it's just something to be aware of. Also, as of this writing, they cost about $5 per pad. This feels pretty high to me, especially since they're not exactly how I would want them - but you can judge for yourself on that. Read more

I like that these writing pads are made with recycled paper, and the paper has a nice feel to it. It's of sufficient weight, and my pen glides across the paper smoothly. They are nicely lined, and the pages tear at the top cleanly where perforated. The back could be a little stiffer, but it's well very well when writing on a desk or table. Read more
