Excellent but not Equal

Lisa MSeptember 19, 2025

I have been using a Delsey Paris Helium Aero carry-on for six years and decided to compare it with this one. The Delsey is slightly taller and, when both are expanded, is noticeably wider, which gives it the ability to hold more items while still being a TSA-approved carry-on size. Due to its larger size, the Delsey weighs about 1-1/2 pounds more when empty. Both suitcases are polycarbonate; the Delsey has a beautiful metallic finish. Both spin easily and have sturdy wheels that are built to last; the difference is the Delsey wheels do not do as well on carpet as this one does, which is a big plus in my book. I often have to put in extra effort when rolling on carpeted areas in airports, although I suspect that can largely be attributed to the fact that I usually overload my luggage. On a trip I took last week, it weighed 29.6 pounds. (I have not tested this suitcase's ability on carpet when similarly loaded.) The Delsey has only two possible heights for the pull-out handle, whereas this suitcase has three. The lowest setting on the Delsey works well, as it allows me to hold my arm at a comfortable level instead of raised in the air, so I only use this one. The Delsey features a beautiful design and comes in a variety of colors that stand out from those other drab bags on the carousel. Conclusion: While the Delsey carry-on has a roomier interior, features a sturdy metallic finish that has survived beautifully through many trips, and is considerably more attractive, this suitcase is lighter, performs better on carpeted surfaces (at least while empty), and offers a third handle height option. However, the price of this bag is considerably higher for the same features. It's a good choice in any event, but were I to have to choose only one, I would stick with the Delsey. Read more

Compact and Durable

Honest TakeNovember 3, 2025

Analysis -> Pros > 1. The hard shell helps with the extra protection needed for rough travel 2. Expandable design allows extra packing when neccesary 3. 360 degree spinner design makes it smooth to roll it around Suggestions > 1. Glassy finish might scuff overtime (normal) 2. Check Dimensions to make sure it meets the required standards for carry on Read more

Really Nice, Sturdy Little Rolly

C L DSeptember 19, 2025

This is the first hard side suitcase I've used. It's really sturdy, and the the handle is, too. My other suitcase, the handle is kind of flimsy, and when I have something stacked on it, there's that little voice in the back of my mind saying "wonder if today's the day that sucker snaps...". Not the case with this suitcase! The wheels are really smooth, which is nice. I've traveled to Brooklyn and stayed for a month, will be again in a couple of months. I need a sturdy suitcase that I can pack my home office in... laptops, small printer, keyboard, all that crap. And I can't risk it getting crunched because some goofball tried cramming his luggage into an overhead bin that's full. Hard sides eliminate that risk! It's expandable, gives you maybe another inch in depth. And I like that it has combination locks... I can set the combination, and no one's getting in- well, except TSA, because it has a keyhole for them. This is a really nice suitcase, it's well made, and I expect that it will perform beautifully, for years to come, even for people who travel a lot. Read more

Very light!

PtbecSeptember 25, 2025

This is a very nice carry on sized suitcase. It is very light. The wheels roll smoothly and move 360 degrees with ease. The telescoping handle has three stops and extends easily. The zippers move smoothly and are robust enough to feel like they will last. The integrated lock system is a bit different, but seems to work well. I thought it looked too big to be a carry on, but the measurements are within the limits. The included documents that describe the features of the suitcase are almost entirely in Chinese. Luckily, the instructions to reset the lock are also in English. This is a nice suitcase, but maybe a bit high in price. Read more

Rolls so smooth

Alexis HSeptember 16, 2025

I travel a lot for work and I’m very particular about my luggage because it takes a beating. Usually I use a famous brand that starts with an S. This bag has the interior I prefer with one side being a full zip and the other having the elastic. I use packing cubes so this is convenient. I love that it has a combination lock on the zipper built in and the wheels roll beautifully on my carpet and tile floors. I’m excited to use it and see if it hold up. Read more

So lightweight and good looking!

MelindaSeptember 16, 2025

The media could not be loaded. First impression was wow, this barely weighs a thing! And the wheels glide incredibly smoothly. As with any brand new suitcase, only time will tell if the price matches ultimately the quality as I expect this to last years and lots of travel, but I do feel like the modern features and design are worth the cost. I really like the unique lock for the zipper ends. I also really like the exterior texture and the rose gold wheels. Definitely an upgrade from my last carry-on suitcase and love that there are plenty of matching sizes available to complete the set. Read more
