We bought this for a 9 year old boy. His father set up a desk with a lamp so that he could read the instructions. He built both cars within one hour without asking for any help. He loved building the set and proudly showed it to everyone. It was a big hit!!! So we bought he two more sets of Lego's. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I got this set for my 6 year old, though he didn’t help me put it together, it was easy. It took me several hours as I’m not a Lego builder but I got the hang of it. I even downloaded the Lego builder app which helped when I was questioning the piece I needed to use since the piece can be rotated 360° on the app. I found the paper instructions did a better job with the color scheme identification mainly to differ the black from the dark gray pieces. For the yellow car, I was missing one piece that was referenced but it turned out to not be a big deal that I didn’t have it as I still able to complete the car without it. I do wish they’d just print the logo on all the pieces that needed as they do it for some and then others you have to use the stickers. It’ll just be better if they just printed on the Lego itself since they’re already doing it for some. For the black car, I don’t like that it feels as though it can come apart especially when you have to remove the top if you want to put the Lego people inside. I wish they’d made it so the door opens since that part tends to get undone at times when removing the roof. Overall, it’s nice but it isn’t without its faults . If you get this for younger kids then be prepared to do most if not all the building like myself. Read more
