Well worth the price.

This helicopter, sorry, ULTRACOPTER is a very very fun toy. So you know where my opinion comes from, in a 39 year old man who had Lego when he was younger which, if you do that math, was NOT the heyday of the company. When I was a kid, most Lego products came with no instructions and lacked detail or imagination. The Ultra Agents line is very interesting. The good guys use mostly black colored pieces interspersed with translucent blue and some translucent orange pieces for accents. The ULTRACOPTER adheres to that. It's large and pretty solid, not that I'd let it drop even from a short table to the floor (I wouldn't do that with any brick vehicle). If you want real stability, though, I can point you to four models in the Technic Racers line that are tested to survive drops from two stories. Back to the ULTRACOPTER, it has five separate action or play features. Starting from the back, there's a slider that controls the side turbines. In one position, they're back and close to the body. In the other position, they shift out and to the middle of the body. The second is that those turbines have two spring loaded missile launchers that fire the included orange, translucent missiles. Again, there are two on each turbine for a total of four active launchers! Even though there are only a total of six missiles, if you use other missiles from other sets, you can get off a lot of shots each time you reload! The third action feature is the one that romanced me ink purchasing this set. There's a gear on the bottom that operates the two blades, which rotate opposite of each other. The blades aren't simply black, either. There are silver studs, translucent blue 2x1 bricks, and even stickers on each end. The fourth action feature is truly special. With just a flick of a piece, a minifigure of your choice descends from the craft on a spool of thread. You can reel him back up after his attack or retrieval mission is accomplished. =) The last action feature is the four stud launchers, two on each side, that are mounted on each side of the cockpit. They each have to be triggered independently unlike the launcher on the Ship HQ set. The entire set is aesthetically pleasing. There are details like stickers and translucent blue bricks in every inch of the set. I highly recommend it for play or even display. Read more

One of the best sets ever!

One of the best Lego sets ever, the flares were pretty cool, and there are many moving parts. The new manuals with 2-3 pieces per page are ridiculous. I guess I'd like to see them go paperless and make youtube videos or something. Read more

Can't decide whether building or playing with Ultra Copter was more fun for my son

My 10 year old son loves the Ultra Agents collection, too bad LEGO is not making them anymore. This Ultra Copter is awesome, he's having as much fun playing with it as he did building. He has several other LEGO'S in this collection, I think this might be his favorite. Read more
