On me the ride height comes just to my belly button. The fabric is soft there is no scratching or discomfort. Absolute zero panty lines. AND these are still sexy! I am a size 6 and bought a medium. The semi transparent back with the thong built in is very complimentary to the shape of your booty! The thong also helps define your booty through your pants helping to prevent any appearance of flattening your rear! The seams and quality of construction is fantastic! I'm 5'3 and about 115lbs, and I purchased a size medium with the intention of wearing it over my regular underwear. I recently had a c-section and was specifically looking for an underwear that offered compression and some protection around the incision area while being comfortable under regular clothes. The fit was smooth and didn't squish or flatten the bum like many other compression garments tend to - definitely a plus! However, I found that it didn't offer quite as much compression or tummy support as was hoping for, especially post surgery. I probably could have gone with a size small for a firmer hold, but I liked the idea of layering it. Overall, it's comfortable and flattering under clothes, but if you're looking for strong abdominal support especially in the tummy area, this may fall a little short. Item just as pictured. I usually wear small, but got medium because of reviews. They fit ok, but are more suited to somebody that really doesn’t need support. The front panel doesn’t hold my belly in much. The back doesn’t even cover all of my butt ( looks like pic - cheeky) & doesn’t support it at all !! If you’re like me - sagging butt & a pouchy belly from having kids & menopause - don’t waste your money!! They may work well for not showing under my white linen pants. I haven’t tried yet. I did consider exchanging for a small to get tighter control in front, but they would cover even less if my butt & I want support there too ! I do t want 1/3 or 1/2 of my butt just hanging out !!
