Lesmart Men Down Jacket Puffer Winter Jacket with Hooded Packable Lightweight Windproof Insulated Warm Coat

This jacket does a good job keeping warmth at the current lower price range; one can comfortably walk around outside in the mid-30s with a t-shirt underneath. The jacket came in a separate 10.5 x 8in bag (not self packable). Among the tags, there is a clear, sealed pouch that has sample white down from the jacket. The fill weight is quite high in each baffle and round the jacket. I appreciate that there are no logos on the exterior of the jacket. The main zipper is YKK labeled and the exterior is made with matte material. Compare to the other brands, the quality of the stitching is something to be desired. The fitting is definitely a loose-fit (much more so than Patagonia’s Down Sweater boxy fit). The smallest size they have available, medium, has the following measurement: Shoulder to bottom: 24in Chest: 22in Waist: 22in Sleeve length: 23in With the loose-fit style, the warmth is almost comparable to Arcteryx Cerium LT and Patagonia Down Sweater, since it has much more room down weight. Functionality wise, it only has a basic loop at the bottom edge of the jacket. The hood and the sleeves are bounded by an elastic band with no tightening option. The jacket does cover up the neck area, with a thin piece of zipper cover that does a minimum job of protecting skin from rubbing against the zipper pull. Wind resistance is excellent for the jacket. In terms of water resistance, though, the jacket does not have any DWR finish on the exterior. Water does not roll off easily from the fabric and they will eventually soak in. I have been looking for a packable lightweight puffer jacket for mild to moderate cold weather. After returning several others, usually because they were incredibly small, I ordered this jacket in 4X. Normally I would take a 2X or 3X but at least this 4X did fit me well. I have been impressed with the quality of construction. It has a YKK zipper which works well. There are very large outside pockets. The puffer stitching is even and the goose down is evenly distributed. The attached hood fits well. I wore it outside when it was 42 degrees and it kept me warm. It probably wouldn't be warm enough below 32 degrees but for mild to moderate cold weather it works well for me. It packs tightly into a small sack which is included. Order arrived on time. quality is as described. warm, lightweight, feathers dont come off. true to.size. price is acceptable. the only reason i gave 4 stars is because of reflectiove chest pocket zipper, when i purchased this jacket, the picture was different without white reflectoive zipper, which i liked more than with reflective zipper. I liked it so much that I bought another one of a different color. The stuff bag comes in handy when traveling. I was able to stuff the jacket in the bottom of my backpack on a recent trip. When I returned to New England this December I was able to have a warm coat ready without carrying it around in warmer places where I had no use for it. The jacket is so light weight that you won’t believe how warm it keeps you. Love this coat. It’s not fancy and doesn’t have zippered pockets but otherwise it looks great and is very toasty! Not bad for the price but the cut is tight at the upper arm. I could have worn the 3xl but extending my arms or crossing them in front caused very tight spots on my upper arms. The 4xl is better but then again it's a little big on me, still gets tight on upper arms. Jacket is warm in 25 degree weather, cuts the wind and water beeds up well. Quite warm and comfortable at a quarter of the price than a comparable Eddie Bauer which is rated as 80% goose, 650 fill but a bit lighter. This one from Amazon is warmer with a better hoodie coverage and heavier even for a cold windy day if you forget an under-layer. Fits snug. I will admit I was a bit skeptical about this jacket and if it would be warm enough. It is super warm and comfortable extremely lightweight. There is a little bit of insulation covering the pocket area to keep hands warm. And drawstrings at the bottom to keep a good seal and trap body heat in. Very satisfied with this jacket . Read more
