Whereas it does hold your wrist immobile it is incredibly scratchy and uncomfortable. The sides of the elastic rub against your skin in three different locations. I bought different ones that don’t rub my skin and aren’t so scratchy. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand right off. What I say: I am attaching 4 pictures to this review, so you can see how it comes packaged, directions to wear, size dimensions, and what the brace looks like. Made for adults, this wrist/hand brace is "one size fits all." I slipped my (left) hand into the brace and took hold of the straps to tighten; however, the straps only allowed me to tighten so much. The straps do not lace through some sort of buckle for me to then fold back and tighten. Instead, the straps are sewn into the side of the brace. The straps are elastic, but I was unable to tighten them enough to fit securely around the flat of my palm. Therefore, even though my wrist is supported, my palm shifts far too much and has zero support. (I believe this is due to the "thumb-edge abrasion-proof design.) I asked my husband to try the brace on and it fit him perfectly. The aluminum splints give excellent support and the fabric does not chaff my skin. Within the brace is memory foam padding. As long as you do not wear the brace exclusively on one wrist/hand, the brace should remain comfortable. However, if you use it on one side for any length of time, the memory foam will take shape for that hand. Switching wrists/hands will PROBABLY feel strange since the padding is shaped for the previous wrist/hand. (At least, this has been my experience with memory foam paddings.) All in all, I believe this wrist/hand brace will be perfect for most adults. (I may just be an oddball with strangely-sized hands.) The brace is priced so as not to bankrupt you either.
