Levis Mens 501 Original Fit Jeans

I haven't worn Levis in years and I'm really glad I got a pair of 511s. They're slim but not skinny. These are my absolute best fitting pair of jeans and I plan to get a few more pairs in different colors. There's enough room in the thigh area and throughout the leg to be comfortable while still being and looking like a slim fit jean. What's really nice is that the flex material isn't just all over. It seems to be strategically placed in places where you'd need it most. Around the waist is where I notice it the most. I never have any problems zipping or buttoning these jeans at the waist because of the flex feature. I have lots of other jeans that fit me all over but for some reason don't want to button at the waist and make me feel fat. These are the same size and style as jeans I've been buying from the Gap for years and these are so superior and cost far less. Wish I'd have given Levis a second look years ago. Read more

I am a little particular about my jeans. I have skinny legs so loose fitting jeans look silly on me, but i do not like wearing skinny jeans. i have always liked Levi's 511 jeans because they actually fit my thighs well, are just the right length, and sit comfortably just below my waist. I was a little apprehensive buying jeans on line without trying them on, but I know what Levi's fit and size works for me. These jeans are now one of my favorite pairs. They are actually a little tighter in the thighs than I expected, but I like that better with these jeans because they are a little stretchy-unlike my other more rigid Levi's that I've bought in-store. They are a little tighter in the waist than my other 32W Levi's, but since they allow a little stretch, they still feel comfortable. Bought for my husband. Fantastic pair - great color, fabric and fit. Note that for this particular color ("Pumped Up"), the fabric composition appears to be 98% Cotton / 2% Elastane, not 99% / 1% as appears on the product description (see image) - I recommend updating the product description accordingly. We tried another 511 slim in a different color (I think "Throttle"?) from a different seller, and it looked nice, but was 99% / 1% and felt more rigid and less comfortable so we returned it - perhaps sizing up for the 99% / 1% colors will do the trick (we haven't tried). I switched from 501s to 511s a couple years ago, after putting on a few pounds. I have a beautiful mistress and her name is Modelo Especial. Feel me? I found that a 32x30 as opposed to a 30x30 in a 501 was a bit too baggy for my taste. The 511 solved this problem, offering a slim fit that comfortably accommodated my slightly bigger waist size. These pants are lightweight, comfy, and breathable, and are a nice balance between the lumpy potato sacks favored by your dad and the sort of painted on skater jeans that pair best with an Avenged Sevenfold hoodie. Beware though - these jeans seem to run a little longer than they used to. I recently had to switch from my normal 32x30 to a 32x29, which fit just right. The quality was good and they fit his slim build but a little big in the waist. I think I need to order a size smaller in the waist because I was estimating on the size I needed for him, but they work with a belt. He is very slender but 6 feet tall. I'm 5'11 and 155lbs and bought these in black 31x30. These are perfect for guys like me who have quads but absolutely no calf muscles. With skinny jeans your quads look like sausages and the calves fit perfect, but these are looser in the quads so the taper down the leg if perfect. The material is comfortable, soft, and stretches. I wouldn't test the stretch though. These jeans are made for men with slim legs, but this is America so do what you want. Everyone has a different body type but I found a length of 30 is good for my height if you don't want any break on your shoes. You'd want to go longer if you like the pants to bunch up at the bottom. I'm a 5'6" 115lb woman and I have trouble fitting into a lot of women's jeans, which are cut for curves I don't have. I discovered these by trying on my brother's jeans, and then bought my own in the length I needed (28w 30L). Now my mom wears them, too! They're so comfortable and durable, they wear into soft comfortable fabric, and being able to get the exact size you want is amazing as a woman, because most women's jeans don't come in lengths. Be aware that the stretch and advanced stretch are different than the regular ones. Advanced stretch is much thicker fabric and you should size up. I use those for work. Read more

These are the perfect jeans. I recently switched from 513 to 511 and have been super happy with the switch. The 513's have changed length over time but the 511's are exactly to size and fit like other Levi's and other pants do in terms of waist and length. I got the dark hollow and really like the raw denim look. If you keep an eye on them here long enough, you'll usually see a really good sale. I just got another pair for $25. I also have the black and one of the darker grey pairs and love them. Read more
