I have a bunch of LEVI'S 510 SUPER-SKINNY jeans in various colors and washes, and I must say that I really love them! I first started wearing the LEVI'S 511s (Skinny), which I also love, but I decided to try the 510s when they first came out. I must've been a little out of shape back then and I got them in the "rigid" wash-material, which is really stiff, and I didn't like they way they felt. For some reason, I didn't like the way the jeans fit around my calf muscles. Anyway, I think it was the wash that made them so uncomfortable. So, I decided to buy a pair that had more stretch to them and I was in Heaven. Those weren't hard and stiff and the material felt like a second skin. Since then I've been buying up 510s whenever I see a cool color that I want. I also got into shape by losing a few pounds and can now get into a 34. The 510s fit normally on the waist, so they aren't low-rise like the 511s, and the crotch isn't sagging or too low, so the jeans hug your butt and groin area just right. They also fit nicely on your legs, which is good if you're like me and have muscular thighs because the pant legs will stretch and hug them and show them off quite nicely, fitting slim all the way to the ankle. They look great with a pair of high-tops or Chuck Taylor's or boots. The "Clean-Worn" color is like a sky blue with bleached out marks on the upper thighs and some small worn-out, frayed holes in the knee and thigh and it has a soft, favorite pair of jeans feel. I would also suggest getting the 510s in "Playa" and "Titanic," those are really soft feeling as well -- and provide ample stretch -- so it almost feels like you're not wearing anything at all. Also note that on the newer 510s the pockets are deeper than the first issued ones. For some reason, the pockets on 510s were about half the length size of a normal jean pocket so that made it harder to carry stuff around in your pockets because things would fall out. Maybe Levi's thought that with jeans this tight you couldn't put anything in your pockets anyway? Who knows, but I noticed on the newer issued 510s that the pockets are deeper. As far as who can wear super skinny jeans and still look good, I think that as long as your body is proportioned you can get away with 510s in whatever size you have to get them in, and it doesn't matter if you're short or tall. I have a friend who can wear a 31 waist but his body is not proportioned, his top half is flat and rectangular and his legs and butt are non-existent (think Sponge Bob Square-Pants) because he's really skinny, and he tried on a pair of 511s and they looked HORRID on him, so I can't imagine what the 510s would look like, even though he can fit into a smaller size than me. So just because you happen to be really skinny, doesn't mean that the skinny fit will look right on you. Likewise, if you're muscular, don't think that you can't get away with the 510s because you don't have a 30 waist. The jeans have some stretch fabric in them so they should fit fine. I hope Levi's will continue with the 510s and come out with more colors. Read more

These are the Levis 510 Skinny Jean. There skinniest fit of jeans for men. These are a nice go to jean for a reasonable price with great quality. This particular pair (Rigid Dragon) has a dark rinse and looks good when going for a clean and sharper look. If you're familiar with 510's you know these can be pretty tight but still comfortable. However with this particular pair I found the waist was very tight and stiff. Try ordering a size up for a little more comfort. Keep in mind sizing up will also increase the size of the leg openings and so on. This is good if you have bigger legs or want a slightly looser fit. Also not all Levis are like this. I have bought true to size that have been super tight and some that have been loose almost resemble Levis 511 model (a slightly more relaxed skinny jean). If you're worried about what size to get, i would try and look for some of these at your local retailer and trying them on first. Move around in them. Walk, stretch, step, bend. After this you should know what size is best to get. Hope this helped! Read more

I had been wanting skinny jeans for the longest time. Levi's is of course pretty much the classic go-to brand for quality jeans at relatively affordable prices. At the time I ordered them, Levi's sold two kinds of jeans that it advertised as skinny, the 511s, which they called "Skinny", and the 510s, which they called "Super Skinny". The truth however is that the 511s were and are not true skinny jeans, the 510s are the only true Levi's skinny jean. (Levi's has since corrected it's advertising, and now calls the 511s "Slim" and the 510s "Skinny"). But I'm glad I went with the 510s back when they were still using confusing advertising names. I do own a pair of 511s too, they look kinda like skinny jeans, but they're not actually skinny jeans, they're basically skinny jean-lookalikes for people who can't fit into real skinny jeans. The 510s, however, are the real deal. The 510s are the true Levi's skinny jeans, I ordered them in the size that all my other jeans were, and they fit me quite well. I got them in jet black, they look pretty awesome, definitely do not regret this purchase. At the time my waist was slightly wider than it is now, so I ordered them in size 30. Since then I've shrunk a few sizes (I actually buy my Levi's now in the junior section where I can get a 28-inch waist), but fortunately for me the Levi's shrunk with me so I still wear my size 30 510s even as I also wear Levi's boys jeans size 16 and American Eagle jeans in a size 26. However what might have been a fortuitous circumstance for me might pose a problem for other people, so be forewarned: like all Levi's, the 510s do shrink when you wash and dry them. Unless you anticipate getting skinnier like I did, perhaps buy one size up from what you would normally wear. Other than that though, I definitely recommend having a pair of Levi's 510s in your closet! Read more
