Levis Mens Ace Cargo Pant

Great pair of shorts. If you look at the picture, you can get a really great idea of what you are buying (that'll be important in a minute). The fit is as shown, with the model in the picture most likely being approx 6 feet tall (I'm 6'2" and the short end at just about the same point on my legs, fyi). The material is a great cotton ripstop (those textured little squares that prevent rips from traveling too far). That means you get a light, breathable cotton material that holds up well. The pockets are all button closure, something I appreciate because velcro wears out over time plus wreaks havoc in the cloths dryer. Left hip pocket has a small interior separating pocket for change, etc. Right cargo pocket has a larger interior pocket for cell phones, multi-tools or pocket knives or whatever else you want protected, separated or concealed. Pretty much just what the description says. As far as waist sizing, Levi's follows typical Americal casual pant sizing (which means if you wear a size 38 dress pants, but a 36 waist with these- American men's casual pants are typically generous to make the consumer feel a little better, fyi). Ok, that wraps it up. Love these shorts personally, but then these are my 5th pair in this style. I was worried about ordering cargo pants online, but we were getting ready for a trip and I knew my husband really wanted some and had no time to go out and shop for them locally. Plus, we live in an area that does not have a lot of choices. These pants turned out to be exactly what he wanted. Not only did they fit perfectly, but they looked great and were well-made. In the past five months, he has worn them out and about in town, as well as worn them hiking, biking, and participating in other outdoor activities. I usually shun any pant that might be considered "slim" as I have athletic thighs (slightly thick) and calves and know that style just does not work for me but I don't like baggy, loose pants either. What a nice surprise when these Levi's got in and I tried them on to discover they were slightly more tapered but definitely wearable and very cool looking! Waist and seat-wise they are true to fit and true to the "relaxed" label but I would hesitate to say they're "relaxed" from the thigh down. Similar to 505 jeans. The main hip pockets are off seam and slightly lower than what's on most pants but it's an eccentric design tweak and not a deal breaker. Inside each hip pocket are deep coin pockets. Color is definitely a military olive. I like the flap style for cargo and rear pockets as well as the single metal button closures. I cannot stand and won't buy cargo pants or shorts with velcro closures. Cheap, ugly and not tactical ;-) These pants fill that gap between ugly, sloppy loose/baggy pants and super slim/skinny pants that are the rage these days! Not much to say here except that the pants are great. They fit true to my size as was expected since I have bought similar in the past. I love the camo color and the material is very nice. Pants are comfortable and lots of pockets. Not sure what is up with the little (hidden???) pockets inside the front pockets, not a major gripe, but stuff does tend to get "lost" in them. If you are looking for a nice looking, comfortable and well made pair of camo cargo pants then I recommend these. Read more
