Their connection to WiFi is rock solid. They also have switches available that work well also, but you need a neutral available at the switch for these to work. Even though Amazon will not allow products to say they are Apple homeKit compatible, this one is HomeKit compatible. Zero problems brining it into HomeKit (was probably the smoothest install of all our 200+ devices and sensors). I write this review about one month after installing the plugs as I want to make sure they remained stable before reviewing. One month later and the plugs are working flawlessly and flawlessly in HomeKit. We ended up buying about 4 more of these plugs to have on hand for when we identify a new place we need one and we just switch out that outlet. Highly recommend this plug. FYI: I did not rate technical support because I had no need to contact them. So, not rating should not reflect on their tech support, rather should reflect on the flawless nature of the product. I ordered a couple of Leviton smart switches last year to solve the lack of a 3-way switch issue. That was a mistake on my part. Now I have 15 of these devices integrated into my home. I installed this particular outlet - a smart outlet - in my garage to make automating my outdoor Christmas yard decorations. First, it's a direct replacement for any standard duplex outlet. All that is needed is to hook up hot, return and ground wires and it's almost ready to go. If you have previously installed any Leviton Wi-Fi smart device, the Wi-Fi pairing happens automatically. If this is the first one installed, then manual Wi-Fi configuration is also very easy. Once it's paired with your Wi-Fi, then all you need to do is set-up a schedule in the Leviton app. The outlet is hot on the lower half and switched on the upper half, just like a typical switched outlet is wired. A push button on the face allows the upper outlet to be turned on manually. Bottomline: quality device, easy to install and a great app for setting up schedules and other routines. Very easy to set up and to integrate with Apple Home Kit. The plug didn't work for my situation due to distance from wi-fi. My Orbi router saw the device and reported a one-bar signal strength. Unfortunately, the Leviton plug wouldn't work with one-bar wi-fi. I have a Rachio lawn sprinkler control box in the same location and weaker wi-fi does work for this controller. what great technology. i’ve been waiting for things like this to come out. Makes things so convenient and easy. turn on and off from anywhere, plus paired with a wireless switch. Amazing! easy installation and set up and has been flawless for weeks. i have 2 complaints. 1 is that only the top plug in is switched. you would think it would be easy to make it so both are or choose witch one is switched. Second, how many smart home apps do one have to have. can’t there be a universal app so a person could put all there smart appliances on it and run them that way. Because of greedy self proprietary companies we are forced to go to this app for switched and plug in and that app for your smart home appliances and your security app for camera. etc. on top of the outrages cost they are charging for things these days witch is a third complaint, but we all are suffering from that on the daily now. but if you are looking for wireless switches for those older houses that don’t have them where needed and want to be able to turn the outlets on and off from your phone, these are fantastic and you can run 3 switches on one wireless outlet and just stick the switches anywhere it’s convenient Read more

Added an outlet under my soffit for the chirstmas lights, works great with an outdoor cover. The on plug is always on, so nice if I need something plugged in outside, and the other is controlled with a smart plug, which is perfect for my Christmas lights. Love the Leviton Smart series stuff. Which they had a no-neutral smart switch line, but I understand. Read more
