I love my egg chair! It is my happy place 🙂. It isn’t true rattan, rather a plastic weave that has a reed-like look. It is pretty comfortable though I wish the edge of the cushion was a little thicker so that I didn’t feel the hard lip of the chair. Also, would have preferred a deeper cream/light tan color for the cushions. They are more white than cream. It didn’t take my husband long to put together. Do not buy this chair. It’s beautiful and I love it but after about 3 months all of the woven strips are breaking. My 17 yo daughter is tiny and barely weighs 100 lbs. She is the one who uses this chair and it is just falling apart. The specs says it will hold much more weight than it is able to hold. I’m so incredibly disappointed in this purchase. I saved for months to afford this for my daughter and now I’m going to have to trash it because even super glue won’t hold the plastic strips to keep it together. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
