I've just opened the box and inspected the shoes. I may change my rating later after I've worn them for a while, but right now I'm favorably impressed with the quality of the work. I don't detect upon visual examination any flaws in materials or workmanship. One surprise: The description says "rubber sole" but this shoe actually has a Goodyear-style sewn welt through what appears to be a leather upper sole. The rubber lower sole is bonded to the upper sole, and the welt is sewn completely through both soles. The heel appears to be stacked leather with a rubber bottom layer. This is not merely a glued-on rubber sole. The shoe appears narrow because the toe box is longer than many other shoes. The width appears to be sized right for the labeled size by American standards. The leather upper is relatively soft to the touch and dull-buffed. I'll shine these up before I wear them. The inner sole is leather with a layer of memory foam under it all and extra sewn-in pads of memory foam padding under the heel and arch. Read more

Every single time I wear these shoes I get multiple comments. People love them. I enjoy them as a statement piece. These shoes are decent. Definitely a “one event at a time” type of shoe… meaning not incredibly comfortable for long days or multiple days at a time. I’ve worn them in grass, through some light rain, on pavement, and inside. They’ve held up well. There is hardly any tread on the sole though so they are slippery. Be careful where you wear them and watch your step. You’ll go for a ride if you’re not careful. Read more

This is the 2nd pair of liberty shoes that I have purchased. They are great looking shoes out of the box, but unfortunately aren't very well made. The sole started coming apart after about a month with my first pair. Liberty refunded my money, which was great. I decided to give them another shot, and purchased a different model. Same issue. I haven't had these for 2 weeks, and have worn them for probably 5 total days. The heel is already starting to come apart. The body of the shoe looks great, but the heel and sole just aren't made to last. Again, they are great looking shoes. I love the classy look, but the shape of the shoe openings digged into the my akle bones on both feet. It should be shaped with another 1/4 dip to clear the ankle bones. I'm needing a pair of dress shoes right away so don't have time to return them. I will try some thick insoles to see if they will solve the problem. Read more
