These are very nice shorts. I got a number 40; for an average male height , they reach till the knee and are true to size. The fabric is mostly nylon and is very light, comfortable, and soft. The fabric does feel synthetic though, much like a high end swimsuit fabric; I guess that's what makes it water resistant. The stitching looks very clean and strong and the shorts can really do pass off as 'dress' shorts. I really loved the elastic waistband; I have not worn many dress shorts with elastic for a very long time, but the elastic on these short make the short hang snugly on your body. Also, the elastic is sort of hard to notice. It also mentions UPF 50+ on one of the tags, that makes it sun resistant (I am not sure if other, regular ones are not). The main button in the front is big and strong, and is the only visible button/zip. All other zips and buttons are covered. The 'cell phone' pocket in the side is useful but for such light fabric, it feels odd when I walk with the phone in it. Also, the back pocket has a push button which is really difficult to close/open with one hand. Overall, for around $ 30-35, I would consider these shorts good value for money. Read more

These Men's shorts are very nice . They fit true to size and are comfortable . The 9 inch length is just above the knee on my 6 ft 2 in husband . The elastic waist is a nice feature for added comfort . It also fastens with a button and zipper , which both work fine . The fabric is alright but it would be better with more cotton in the mix , for breathability reasons . It makes a bit of a swishing noise when walking . Washes well and dries quickly . Great for travel with little to no wrinkling ! There are two hip pockets and one back pocket . Also has a zipper pocket on the right leg . These shorts look classy on and will last for years ! These shorts are very comfortable and fit true to size. The fabric is just the correct weight. Not too heavy and not too light. There's a little bit of stretch in the waistband just in case you eat too many burgers. The length is also just right. No hot pants for this dude! I don't normally tuck in my shirts.
