Living in southwest Florida, I rarely need any kind of long pants. However, there are some cooler days when I need some lightweight coverage. The pajama pants meet that requirement. They are not too thick or thin, just enough to ward off a light chill in the air. The flannel is soft to the touch, reminds me of an old worn flannel shirt. These are great! They look just like the images. The flannel is not too thick, so it's perfect for indoor wear, but it's not so thin that I worry it will wear quickly. After a couple of rounds of machine washing and drying, they have shrunk very slightly, but not enough to be a noticeably different size or length. For sizing, we got the XL, and it's a western XL (not the tiny "really a M or L" XL). It's not the "XL," but really a 3XL that some flannel pants seem to be.
