I have shopped for a bootie for a while, but never found the simplicity and heel that I wanted. I'm nearly 80 and refuse to wear ugly shoes! I need safety, a sturdy heel and style! these are easy on the eyes and easy to get on and off. The texture of the fabric upper is classic as is the heel height. I don't usually try a shoe made in China as they use a different last than Italy, Spain and France. They also use more synthetic materials. I confess to being a shoe snob. However, I'm glad I tried these as they fit my narrow heel, the toe box is generous and the arch is in the right place. My lifestyle is such that I won't be standing for hours in these, so they will likely be very comfy. I usually wear leggings or socks- no skin showing between hem and shoe. Read more

I ordered these in olive green, and I really like the color. I ordered my usual size, and they fit perfectly, even while wearing tights or a pair of thin socks. However, since many reviewers have said they run small, I recommend ordering a wide in your regular size, or going up a half-size. The fabric is suede-like, so definitely not rain boots. However, I got caught in a flash rainstorm twice in one week, and the boots held up well. No discoloration or shrinkage after they dried. I think this is a nice-looking boot and have worn them with skirts, pants, and leggings. If they had more colrs I would certainly order another pair. Read more
