I can’t speak for those who’ve had some bad experiences with these, but for me, so far so good. The tiny manual that comes in the zip like bag says CarPlay won’t work, but I tried it on my “Pioneer DMH-2660NEX“ head unit, and charging plus Apple CarPlay work just fine. Will be ordering more of these as back ups in case I’m somewhere, need a charging cable, and all someone has is a lightning to “USB-A, or lightning to USB-C” cable on them to use. Read more
My husband was complaining that we have all these lightning cords from our old iPhones and now everything is in usb-c. So I got him these and now we can continue to use our old lightning cords, finally! He loves these little loop to loop them onto book bags or wherever he needs to keep them. These lightening to C adapters are GREAT! Just switched from an older iPhone and already had nice long charging cords situated where I like them, these saved me from having to buy new cords. And the little lanyard they each come with is a great feature! If you’re thinking “I don’t need that” you might be surprised, it really comes in handy - in our car we need to be able to charge one phone with lightening, the other with C, so I just hang the little adapter from our phone mount holder making it easy to access and it doesn’t get lost (excuse the dirty car, lol). The adapter works quite well, allowing the newer iPhones to charge using the older Lightning cables. They are pretty durable as well giving that I have one secured to my phone like some kind of decorative charm, meaning it goes in and out of my pocket as my phone does, and I haven't had an issue with connectivity yet. I would not recommend securing it to a charger cable unless you have something to keep it from sliding around on the cable (or don't care if it does). Only casualty I had was one I left at the office where someone dropped it to the floor and ran over it with their chair. However, I used some forceps to bend the crushed-in part back out, and my phone was able to charge! Read more

Works great converting lighting to USB for phones, although I found it doesn’t work with all USB devices. USB-C supports 5, 9, 15 and 20v? The adapter works with every 5v I tried but doesn’t work with the 15v my laptop requires. My guess is that the lightning cable does not have the wiring needed for that. I also appreciate the little “strap” on each one that you can use to tie it to the cable, so you don’t lose it and they stay together! Read more
