About this item

  • [THE PROTECTION YOU NEED] Firefighting is a dirty job. The FB99 helps protect firefighters from prolonged exposure to carcinogens and off-gassing from contaminated turnout gear by containing used gear in an air tight bag until it can be washed at the station
  • [NOT YOUR GRANDPA'S GEAR BAG] Water & air tight TPU fabric is impenetrable, unlike nylon and polyester, which absorbs liquids and particulates
  • [HIGHLY ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION] Heat Welded Seams means there are no load bearing stitches in the construction of the bag. All seams are attached by heat, which literally welds the two pieces together, creating an air-tight seal
  • [WATERPROOF ZIPPERS] IP67 Rated air tight and water tight containment for main hold and helmet compartments. An IP67 rating means a device is completely protected from dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes.
  • [BE "SEEN" ON SCENE] Reflective yellow/silver webbing zipper pulls helps identify your bag and is highly reflective even in minimal light

Durable and good size bag

mattDecember 31, 2024✓ Verified purchase

This bag is durable. I have had this bag for over 1 year now, with no complaints. The design of the bag and the zippers form an air tight compartment to keep contaminantes from my bunker gear inside while in the bag. The size of the bag allows plenty of room for all of my gear. It has great functionality, and great colors. I highly recommend this bag. Read more

Holds a lot and keeps smell out

KendraFebruary 17, 2026

This bag offers ample storage and has proven to be very effective for carrying all my essentials during overnight stays at the station. Its sealed design ensures the protection of its contents, and the bag itself is waterproof. I frequently need to pack extra items for an additional day, as unforeseen circumstances can arise, and this bag is sufficiently spacious to accommodate those needs. Despite being handled quite a bit, the bag has shown no signs of tearing or damage. I appreciate the ability to keep my toiletries, bedding, and clean clothes separate from items that have been exposed to fire, and the bag's construction and airtight seal guarantee this protection. When the bag is stored in the truck, there is no concern that odors or contaminants from uniforms will transfer to the items inside. I am thoroughly satisfied with the size, quality, and sealing capabilities of this bag, and I highly recommend it. Read more

Rugged and well made turnout bag!

Jane FairchildJanuary 16, 2026

Better than expected by a long shot! Im on a float crew in our department so I'm using this bag for my bedding, uniforms, toiletries, duty boots, etc so that I have it all ready to go to whatever station I'm assigned to work at for the day. It's been working out really well for me for this purpose. It's the same size as a typical turnout gear bag, but better made than the ones we are issued at the department. It's setup the same as any gear bag - large main compartment designed to hold your turnouts, a large side pocket, and a smaller side pocket, along with a small zippered pouch at the front that's good for holding safety glasses or things like that. Two handles on the sides, and a long, padded, adjustable, and detachable shoulder strap. There is reflective tape and stitching throughout the exterior of the bag. Compartments are designed such that they isolate any contaminants to the compartment itself so that the adjacent ones are not affected which is nice. Fully waterproofed seams and zippers, and waterproof lining throughout the inside of the bag as well. As a result this bag retains shape when empty and doesn't just flop in on itself like many gear bags do, which has always been a pet peeve of mine with the standard issue bags. Due to the waterproofing, the zippers are a little difficult to pull, since the waterproofing adds considerable resistance. But they work well. That said, there is only a single zipper per compartment, no dual zippers like other bags. Not a big deal, but takes some getting used to since I'm used to having dual zippers. All in all I'm extremely pleased with this bag and highly recommend it for any fellow firefighters looking for a high quality gear bag. Read more

Not worth it

Ivan loorJanuary 26, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Bag style was nice but didnt last long. In less than a moo th the inside divider ripped off. 2 months after that the strap broke off. I literally use the bag from my car into the training center, never mistreated the bag it didnt last more than 3 months. When requested a replacement or refund they didnt want to do it because I had missed the deadline. Then they offered me half a refund for a bag that didnt last more than 3 months. Stay away from this product and this company. Read more

Does the job

Bag size works well with average sized firefighter bunker gear and helmet. The clips holding the shoulder strap would be more durable. But I haven’t broken it yet and have had it a year. Bought another one for my overnight bag. It fits my bedding with a pillow in the main compartment. And my duty uniforms, towel and toiletry kit on the side pockets. My laptop fits great inside the skinner pocket. Most firefighters use the typical red, black, or tan colors. I like that the color is different so you can know it’s your bag Read more

I did the airtight check. It passes. Small hiss

LaLaTheClownDecember 17, 2025

I learned about these bags when I was in the military and I went through a special fire and safety training. Placing all our turnout gear, and other things into similar type bags. I checked the zippers, and they are pretty good quality zippers. All the reflectors on the bag itself and tabs work perfectly. For easy identification. It has a nice identification card on it. So you know which one's yours. I love the gray color comes in. I know a lot of these come in a bright color for obvious reasons. But a subtle gray with the reflectors I think is a clean look. The zippers are definitely waterproof, and Air proof. I did not do the smoke bomb test. But I did do a air pressure test on it. Filling it up with air with a compressor. And then sealing it. Upon laying on it being around 225 pound. There was a small hissing from where the zipper ended on the main compartment. The fact that I was able to hold my weight, as well as the small air gap from the zipper, I think this bag is perfectly fine for use. And transport of soiled components. All the inner scenes are welded. And seam taped in. I did not find any of the same tape to be faulty, or hanging. All of the stitches have been covered. And the bag itself seems to be completely sealed. I think this is a very durable bag. And although the zippers need a little breaking in. Will work wonderfully. Large capacity, separate zippers on both ends for different components. Like gloves on one side. Boots on the other. Read more
