I'm very happy with this weighted vest! Being 60 something it was the perfect and recommended solution to help build bone density. I'm addicted to my treadmill whether for a brisk walk, serious incline or jogging. The additional weight from the vest will undoubtedly help my osteopenia. Not that I needed to lose weight but after a 30-45 minute workout I'll lose 1/2 to 1lb per day. I'm needing to eat an additional 300-400 calories afterwards to maintain. I do get pretty warm where the vest rests on my chest and back but what's a workout without sweat! Otherwise, it's fairly comfortable. It appears to be good quality and should last a long time. This is a weighted vest worn while working out to enhance the effectiveness of the exercise. The upper back area and shoulder straps are filled with sand to create the base weight of the vest, and there are 6 removable sandbags included to increase the weight of the vest when needed. The extra sandbags are worn in pouches at the waist and lower back. There are 3 weight options available to buyers depending on their fitness goals; I chose the heaviest option, which has a base weight of 20 lbs. and weighs 32 pounds when all 6 sandbags are carried. Even at 20 lbs. the vest is very heavy. I don't plan on doing anything more strenuous than walking with it but anyone who isn't sure what size to get should probably get a lighter model. Because most of the vest consists of heavy weight concentrated into small areas, it feels even heavier than it is when it's carried by hand, and when taking it on or off. It still feels heavy when worn but it's much more manageable. There are straps and clips at the sides of the vest to secure it to the wearer's body. Putting the vest on and cinching it up took more getting used to than I expected, but after it becomes familiar the vest sits on the wearer quite comfortably. The vest is made of neoprene and looks like it can handle reasonable wear, but the heavy version I have is extra stuffed with sand and it shows. The optional sandbags are especially full. I have no reason to expect the vest or sandbags to fail but I will be treating them on the gentle side out of caution. The vest has a Velcro pocket area at the front and a mesh pouch at the back for carrying small items but these are nothing special, most people will probably store their things elsewhere. The vest also has reflective striping at several areas so wearers can be seen more easily, but that doesn't apply as much to me. I intend to use the vest for walking outdoors during the cold months. I've tested wearing it under several light and heavy jackets and it's perfect; I thought it might be too bulky for this but no. This vest does what I was looking for and gets a positive recommendation. Read more

The LIONSCOOL Weighted Vest is a solid choice for anyone looking to add intensity to their workouts. The adjustable weight with its six included ironsand weights lets you customize the challenge for walking, running, cardio, and strength training. The reflective stripes are a great safety feature for outdoor activities. However, one downside is the design: you have to pull it over your head to get it on. This can be a bit awkward and cumbersome compared to vests that you can slip your arms through and then onto your shoulders. Despite this, the LIONSCOOL vest is effective and well-suited for various exercises, but consider the over-the-head design if you prioritize ease of use. Read more

I have another weight vest that is very stiff and ballistic nylon. This one is FAR more comfortable for extended wear. Walking with this is a breeze. You get the weight without the weirdness of seemingly wearing a flak jacket. The material almost seems like neoprene, but it's more of a fabric than that - also with no smell like a wetsuit would have. I'm 6'5 and 200 lbs and it fits me just fine. It might be small feeling if you're much taller than me. More girthy and it should still fit. There's plenty of length left in the side straps. I'm using this for walking and for extra weight on pullups - for those uses it's great, comfortable and will probably last years. I'm sure the ballistic nylon one will last longer, but isn't anywhere near as good feeling to wear. Read more

I picked up the heaviest version of this LIONSCOOL weighted vest, and I’m really impressed with how comfortable it is even fully loaded. A lot of weighted vests start to dig into your shoulders once you go heavier, but this one distributes the weight really evenly across the torso. The adjustable straps make it easy to tighten it down so it doesn’t shift during workouts, which is especially important when running or doing cardio. The ironsand weights slide in and out without hassle, so you can easily adjust resistance depending on the workout. The reflective stripes are a nice bonus if you’re outside in low light, adding some peace of mind for safety. Overall, it feels high quality and well put together, and it definitely delivers the added challenge I was looking for in my strength and resistance training. Read more

Was hoping for a little better support for how heavy of a vest it is. With prolonged use it can become uncomfortable. And for others I let try it, it wasn’t supportive enough to keep on. But that is half from it being too heavy and half from the support. But it’s put together pretty well. Easy to take out the bags if necessary. Solid product just not the most comfortable I’ve had.
