I purchased three Liquid Stands products in total. I wanted a keyboard stand that would be more stable than a crossed X stand and Liquid Stands delivers; the stand is rock solid, engineered and constructed with obvious care, also easy to assemble. Had piano lessons as a child and played in early adulthood but many moves resulted in a decision not to move a piano. I am taking up piano again after a 40 year absence with a digital piano. I also needed a piano bench and Liquid Stands had the perfect, easy to assemble, adjustable bench. I did discover that my 75 year old back was aching because I was slouching as I was practicing piano, I thought I was going to have to replace my bench with something like an office chair. Then, while searching for a solution, I discovered that Liquid Stands had just introduced an adjustable bench back the previous month. I immediately ordered the bench back but when it arrived found that the back attaches to the piano bench with fittings that weren’t on my bench. This is where the fantastic customer service comes in. I contacted Liquid Stands and they told me that the bench back was a brand new product and fit stands being shipped. I explained that I had purchased the bench only a few weeks before. They offered to ship out a replacement seat right away. Now my seat was the cloth surface seat and they only had replacements for the leather, but would have the cloth in about 4 months, I said that I would wait, but they sent me a leather seat and said they would send the cloth when it came available. Now THAT is superior customer service! The bench back totally solved my aching back issue, my piano practice sessions are now totally comfortable. Most of the wooden benches I looked at seemed to have screw-in legs that were likely to become loose, bend the attaching bolt or just strip their threads under any weight or movement. Higher end, high-priced benches - even the furniture-quality ones didn't seem much safer. But this Liquid Stands bench is built like a trestle. I think it's rated for 250 lbs and my 250 lbs do not budge it a bit. It remains sturdy and as immovable as an IRS agent. The range of height adjustments is wide so if you're short or tall, it will fit you. The seat is well padded but not padded well enough for a big heavy guy over a long period of time. If you buy one and assemble it yourself, do not snug up any of the bolts until you install the cross brace. This seat is so precision-engineered that you won't be able to slide the brace into its spot unless the bolts are all loose. Once the bolts are all tightened, the seat is like a tank - yet still light enough to be easily carried about. It fits easily and attractively beneath my Yamaha P-225 on its L-225 stand. Read more

I needed a bench with an adjustable height for my grandson. I looked at reviews of lower priced units and am glad I picked this one. It arrived within 2 days. The packaging was good. Assembly was easy. Please note I found it easiest to hand tighten the bolts to get everything aligned, then tighten down with the supplied Allen Wrench. The seat is thick and comfortable. Height adjustment to 22" is easy with spring-loaded knobs. Quality product...highly recommend. Read more

As at least one other reviewer pointed out, if you follow the instructions you will most definitely damage at least one of the legs. According to the booklet, the cross brace is installed after attaching the legs to the seat. Unfortunately, at this point the legs are already very stable and there is absolutely no slack for you to rotate the cross brace after sliding it in at an angle. If you try to "jam it", the brass piece at the end of the brace will dig into the leg on its way down to its location and you will end up damaging the coating on the leg. I ended up unscrewing the triangle pieces from the legs to create some slack then pushed the brace in place. Even then, I had scratch marks on the leg. The right thing to do would be to remove (or not install) one of the legs and at least start attaching the brace to the other leg. The actual product seems really well made. You get what you pay for, in a good way. I just wish people spent a bit more time designing the little piece of paper that comes with it... Read more

Well designed: minimal use of metal beams and fasteners that results in a very light stool but immensely solid when all the fasteners and adjustment knobs are tightened down. High quality finish - mesh covering appears durable (time will tell, of course). Easy to follow instructions with a touch of humor mixed in! Great product! Read more

The Liquid Stands Piano Bench Adjustable Stool is a great value product for the price. The stand was properly boxed and came with all the accessories needed to put it together. The included instructions were easy to follow and there's a video tutorial that goes step by step through the assembly process if anything is unclear. I did run into a minor issue with aligning the screws and having to go back a step or two to make sure everything was flush and properly aligned. Other than that, the stand works perfectly, is enjoyable to sit on, and is easy to assemble. Props to that. Read more
