I live in South Florida and am no stranger to severe weather. We took a direct hit from Hurricane Ian just a few years ago. One of my biggest concerns is getting my dogs to go to the bathroom when we are in the middle of a severe storm. I'm hoping that this will help relieve my concerns. It has three layers: a heavy-duty plastic tray, a "liquid-dispersing" tray to direct spread liquid out, and a layer of artificial grass. It comes with two pads of artificial turf, so you can replace a dirty one and take it out to wash off, as well as being able to hose off the tray outside for easy cleaning. I got an additional shield that goes around the outside to contain urine when male dogs use the pad. The largest 20x30 inch size is still pretty small even for my smallish dogs. I'm hopeful that this will be a happy solution to an ongoing problem. Read more

I used this to help train my puppies from going pee inside the house to outside. I would move the pad back and forth until I was able to get them used to my artificial turf outside. It definitely helped and they seemed to like walking on it and using it. The plastic tray was solid and made for easy rinsing. Personally, I would recommend washing it out every day so pee doesn’t accumulate. I think the price is fair compared to other items like this one. Definitely a solid product. Read more

We have two small dogs and live close to the mountains. Because of that we don't let them outside without us because of Coyotes and other predators. This portable pet grass is perfect for those times when we are away from the house and the dogs need to do their business. The grass is very similar to the turf we have in our backyard so it is very familiar to the dogs. They use it without hesitation and are not disturbed by it being a tray. I would also like to note that we have had similar portable pet grass trays from other manufacturers for over five years so we are very experienced with these items. Pros: The turf (grass) is very similar to high quality turf used in yards. The turf is perforated to allow liquids to flow through into the tray. The tray itself is nice and we really like the pull out tray part. Easy to line with Pee Pads to absorb liquid and odors. Easy to clean. Cons: Really the only con (but not so much ) is the size relative to your pet. I'm not sure this would work really well if you own a Great Dane or other very large dog. For us we have a Blue Healer and a Chihuahua and this works fantastic for them. We never have any problems with them missing the turf or spilling over the edges. Let me be clear, these are a hundred times better than a pee pad alone! While you have to clean them (we do it when needed after use) you only have to clean this and not mop your floor because of a poor aim on a pee pad or a pee pad that leaked through. Read more
