Lots of good features.

Finally a jacket that has what I want! I tried several puffer packable jackets, both men and women’s. This one has a hood, zippered hand pocket that are roomy, chest zip ( why do so few jackets for women have chest zipper pockets?) 2 large enough interior pockets to put your hat and gloves. At 5’9 women’s jackets sleeves were often too short, or they had a too fitted waist and wide hip flare. The men’s jackets were often too tight at the hips. This jacket is perfect for me, it covers my butt, sleeves are plenty long, while it does have a bit of a waist fit it’s not too much and the hip flare is not too large. One reviewer called it “boxy”, but I don’t think so. The hood doesn’t have a draw string, but fits well if you’re wearing a hat. It’s not real big and floppy like some. I usually wear a men’s large or women’s XL in jackets. Based on reviews I ordered up to a XXL. Glad I did, it gives me enough room to wear a sweater layer or fleece vest. It’s plenty warm, Great color, nice material and very lightweight. Will pack easily in the bag it comes in. Perfect for traveling or camping/hiking. I haven’t tried it in snow or rain yet. But it did get tested in 30 degrees with wind and with a long sleeve shirt and vest I was warm. Update— at 14 degrees on a cloudy Snowy Colorado morning with me wearing a turtleneck and medium weight pullover hoodie underneath it was not warm enough. Still not enough at 20 degrees and sunny. At 25 degrees and no wind it was warm enough. At 30 degrees with the same underlayers on it started to get too warm. Good value. I also have a Little Donkey men’s raincoat that I’m very pleased with. Cozy jacket, seems to run a bit large.

This jacket is, as advertised, warm without being bulky. The color (dark red) is nice, and the zipper seems quite durable. I typically wear size S, and feel that, for this jacket, XS might have been closer to S for this item. It's definitely not a fitted jacket. I decided to keep the S, however, given that, as others here have noted, the sleeves seem a tiny bit short. Overall a great purchase. Read more

Great Little Jacket

The only reason for the 4 overall rating is because the interior stitching and pockets look terrible! However, it's very light weight, packs in the backpack well...and most important, it kept me so warm on some very cold nights and mornings. I also LOVE all the pockets. Super handy when hiking to have a place for your phone, snacks, sunscreen, and even a small water. If the inside didn't look like. drunk person sewed the pockets on -- it would be perfect. Despite the shoddy interior stitching, it's still a great outdoor activity coat for the price. Read more

Great and warm jacket!

This is my 3rd "Little Donkey Andy" coat! I love this because it's not bulky and doesn't take up a lot of space when traveling. I wear it when I take walks (I live in upstate NY) and it keeps me warm without being too hot. The color is great so cars can see me. Nice zipper pockets on outside and also pockets on inside, and it covers my butt too! I ordered XL, I'm 5'9" and 180 lbs and I can wear a sweatshirt underneath it. Highly recommend! I was not compensated in any way for this review. Read more

get a size bigger if you are going to layer sweatshirts under it

I bought this for travel Thanksgiving weekend. Both cities had plenty of snow & wind & rain. Airports were crowded. I could wear it into the airports and quickly roll it in the bag and into my backpack. I wore a heavy sweatshirt underneath. I was great for wind and snow, kept me warm. I bought a size larger than my usual so that I could layer shirts underneath. Pockets roomy enough for my water bottle or my hands. It may be lightweight but is warm. Read more

Disposable coat—defective

I loved this jacket. I bought it for and wore it on my spring trip to Europe in 2024. This year when I got ready to wear it, the brown lining has bled into the yellow quilted seams. I didn’t expect it to last forever, but this is poor quality… Read more
