Ordered these to possibly play winter golf, or to wear apres-ski, but we got a rare cold snap (like 20F with wind chills near 2-3F) and I wore these to walk the dog—they are perfect. I sized down and they fit well (the xl also fit but was a bit baggy, the L fits better). Plenty warm in the wind, although I would prefer fleece lining, the interior taffeta has ample insulation with down. Great value, although they look a bit Michelin-man-esque, I don’t care. These are absolutely wonderful. I read the reviews and thankful I did. Depending on the clothing brand, I'm between medium & large because of the rear end and long runners legs. Reviews stated that they run big. I stuck with the medium figuring I'd exchange if necessary. SOO happy I did. They fit great. The butt is tighter than the rest, but even with the squat-test, they didn't drop down more than any other pants. And length is perfect for 5'8". They are very warm, although I'll know in 2 days how they do in snow. They are super soft and comfy. I'll be able to wear cold weather legging underneath to stay extra warm. I'm not sure how durable they'll be, but for the price, these are amazing and comfy. So glad I elwent with these instead of other brands. Read more

They aren't going to be as 'puffy' as the picture. They are going to be more like those airpaks for shipping, once you stomp them to hear the 'bang'. That being said, NOTHING gets through these. I bought them for a vacation in Illinois over the past week. The temps while I was there averaged 8 degrees with a -12 degree wind factor. I was toasty warm the whole time, never a bit of chill. They are a little roomy, but honestly, that's what you want if you're trying to stay warm. I needed a pair quickly and there are many far less expensive options that would have arrived too late for me, so I bit the bullet and paid the price for them and have to say that I'm very glad I did.
