Very nice, packable, light (but not flimsy) rain jacket. It is so hard to figure out sizing online, so here goes: For me, it fits true to size. I usually wear a 12, so I purchased a large. I have 41.5” hips (my biggest part) and the jacket provides plenty of space for layering. Also, the jacket is slightly fitted around the mid-section, so it is not boxy. I am 5’4 and 125 lbs. coat fits my shoulders and torso but comes to my knees. It is a little hard to zip up because the fabric is a little stiff. Coat seems well made and should be waterproof for heavy rain. Purchased for trip to UK. Update: July 28, 2024 After wearing this coat a few times, the zipper still is hard to pull up. The fabric is still stiff and feels like I am wearing a tent. Not happy with this purchase but it is too late to send back. This lightweight raincoat reached me mid thigh (I am 5'3 in). It kept me perfectly dry in a monsoon. It is generously sized so you can wear it over a deconstructed blazer or lightweight fleece. There are two snaps on each sleeve so you can decide how snug a fit you would like, depending on what you wearing underneath. The hood comes unshaped so you will need to pull the elastic cords to adjust it to your head. Although the hood may be the weakest link on this product, I found it even when it was loose it did not blow off when it got windy because you can zip the front zipper all the way up. Perhaps another yet minor flaw is that the raincoat arrives very creased. Using a cotton pillow case and an iron on a very low setting, I was able to release those creases. The pockets are roomy and generous enough easily to hold a phone. Raincoats offering similar coverage easily cost way more. I know, I did my research. Read more

I have other Little Donkey jackets which I really like. I was looking for a rain jacket/coat that comes mid thigh. I am about 5’3” and maybe around 118 lbs? Possibly less (I don’t weigh myself so not sure). Due to the comments on this jacket I first bought this in small (despite the fact that my other Little donkey jackets are XS), but had to return and then ordered XS. The XS fits great and is roomy over shoulders and arms in case I wanted to wear a fleece or something underneath. This is strictly a rain shell type coat. It is Not lined (which is what I wanted). It looks VERY well made with sealed zippers and has a double zipper which is really important with a coat that goes below hips. I have had a lot trouble finding a rain shell that goes to mid thigh and has a double zipper and isn’t black. I do Not understand reviewers who say it runs small but then I have not ordered the larger sizes…so maybe just the larger sizes run small? The smaller sizes do not run small IMO.
