I received this as a gift from my mother from a department store. After I found out how much it cost, I returned it, thinking, why on earth would I want that money spent on a towel? But then she told me afterward that she was expecting to see it on the baby when she came to visit. So I had to frantically turn to Amazon to repurchase one. And aren't I glad I did! It is far superior than any of the other towels I inherited from my nephew. It is incredibly soft so that you don't feel bad about rubbing it on your baby's sensitive skin, and it dries well. I love the hood that actually covers the entire head, compared to the shallow hoods of other towels. All in all, I still think it's pricey, but was well worth it as it's the towel we use the most. I bought one of these towels as a special impulse buy for my daughter and loved it. I have since bought it as a gift and for my new baby as well. It seems pricey for a towel for baby but it's so plush and cozy. I love that I can dry my baby quickly and not get everything else wet while doing it like with other thin baby towels. It says to not put it in the dryer but I've done it both ways and the chenille get a little clumpy either way. Also when it's line dried, it gets kinda stiff. I would just rather use the dryer. The actual towel aspect of this wonderful. Thick and absorbent. Not too small or big, started using when my son was a newborn, he is six months now and still fits. However the "chenille" trim and hood.. Aka polyester crap.. Is awful. After not even two months of wash and wear (uhm and remember a baby doesn't get bathed all that often. And this also was not the only towel I used so it was never in constant use) looked and felt like garbage! I spoil my baby and buy some overpriced things at time.. But only with the notion that its worth it! This towel however? Nope. Not worth the 42 dollars whatsoever. I still use it, and the blue crap looking like exactly that.. Blue crap..
