The installation was quick but it takes a while to read the instruction because there were no words, just pictures. One person can easily build this but 2 people can get the job done faster. The middle rail does not have any nailing at the top so be prepare to not try and nail the top of the middle rails in. The shelves help hold the middle rail up, so it's very sturdy. This is a very beautiful and sturdy closet. To test the sturdiness, I sat on the middle shelf and was surprised that it was able to support me.
