I most often use wool blend socks in the winter since my feet get cold. These Merino wool socks are not the thickest socks I have, but they are comfortable and wash well with no shrinkage. They actually get softer after washing. These socks are warm enough for winter, but they also work well for warmer weather since they aren't very thick. The color variety isn't the greatest, but they offer the basic colors. Overall, I am happy with these socks, but prefer some of the thicker blends for winter. UPDATE 12/10/25: For the most part, I still like these socks, but had a problem with them today that I haven't had previously. They have a seam that goes over the toes and around the big toe and little toe on each side. Today, my little toe starting hurting, and I found that the pain was caused by the placement of this seam. I adjusted the sock to move the seam and relieve the pain, but this is just a note that the thickness of the seam can cause some pain on toes when on a joint. i have a lot of problems with my feet, so most socks do not work for me. I was pretty much down to only wearing Bombas which have a true seamless toe and are very comfortable, but also very expensive and do not hold up at all. I searched through Amazon and found these socks and thought for the price they were worth a try. There have seamless toes, they are a nice weight, not too heavy nor too thin, they have held up well through multiple washes and wears, and seem to work well in all my footwear. These socks are marketed as liners to be worn under other socks, but I use them alone as lightweight wool summer socks. (I am wearing a pair right now.) I bought them in beige, a color that might be described as 'nude,' and though they are not exactly flesh-colored, they're close enough to pass for that trendy 'no socks' look. They are wool, so they are absorbent, don't hold odors, and are designed to be worn several times between washings - yeah, I know, that was a hard adjustment for me, too... For socks this light, they are remarkably sturdy and are holding up very well to the near-constant use I have given them over the summer. And they are so much softer than ordinary cotton or synthetic socks - there's just no comparison. I may get some more in different colors for next summer.
