When I saw it and held it in my hand, it felt and looked like a compact drill driver. I thought, there we go again, they are using people with child-sized hands to make things look bigger online. But then I tested it on my car lug nuts that I had torqued to spec. It removed them in seconds. I am very surprised at how much power this compact impact driver has. First, the brushless motor delivers 405 ft-lbs of max torque with 2800 RPM. It runs 60.5 percent longer per charge than brushed motors and stays quieter. The 3 speed selection lets you switch from delicate work to heavy duty loosening as needed. Second, the intelligent brake stop in reverse mode automatically reduces speed and torque once a nut breaks free. This prevents the nut from spinning uncontrollably and flying off into the engine bay. A thoughtful safety feature. Third, the built-in LED light illuminates dark, tight spaces automatically when you pull the trigger. No fumbling with a separate flashlight. The kit includes a 3.0Ah battery, charger, 5 sockets (14mm to 22mm), 6 drill bits, 4 screwdriver bits, hex sockets, flexible shaft, and conversion head to turn it into a drill driver. Things like this could basically eliminate the air powered impact wrench. It's so convenient to grab and is relatively light weight that I haven't bothered using the air impact wrench unless it's already being used. Being able to use this same tool to drill holes or drive screws makes it that much more useful. It's also fairly compact so it can get into spots where the bigger air impact doesn't fit. I do wish it included a second battery but I haven't needed another one yet. Unless something breaks or this just stops working I'll give it a definite 5 stars. Once you have one you will rarely grab the air impact. No hoses or cords to drag around and seems to have as much (if not more) power than my air impact. Read more
