Great weekender/carry on bag. Durable canvas and sturdy straps. Even brought it to be monogrammed. Dragged it throughout Europe for several weeks and it held up very well. Spacious interior with two inside pockets to help stay organized. Additional slide-in pocket on outside of bag and a luggage slip for secure fit on a suitcase handle. I purchased it specifically for the zippered underneath compartment with fitted insert. Great extra space. The bag actually held more than I expected. I just kept adding to it!! Would love to see a bottle holder added to the outside. Also, the bag slid under front seat on its side on most planes we were on when carried as a personal item… but was a tight fit on some planes when filled to the brim. Bought this a couple years ago and LOVE IT!! I use it as my personal item and it slips easily onto a rolling carry on. Between the 2, I can travel 2 weeks without needing a checked bag. The side of the Catalina bag has a pocket that unzips top and bottom to slip over a handle while the pocket on the other side zips to conveniently store your passport, phone, etc. It fits nicely under the seat in front of you. This bag is absolutely AMAZING! I am a minimalist and this bag checks all the boxes. It is a great value and I expect to have it for years to come. My only critique is there is no laptop pocket. I have a 13-inch MB Air that goes everywhere with me and in this bag it's not secure. For the price and thoughtfulness of including a shoe compartment I would like to also see a place to put my tech. An extremely well made and high quality canvas tote with a slightly questionable price point. At first glance, I thought, "now who in their right minds would spend this much on a tote?" However, after bringing it on its first trip, it was probably one of the best totes we've ever used. Its a relatively plain looking tote with virtually no branding anywhere except for the little patch inside. The functionality is where it shines. There are so many pockets and side pockets and more pockets on the inside making organization extremely easy. There's an entire bottom section with an option to separate or keep it as one large bag. Its such a clever design that I want all totes to have. It makes separating items a breeze and easy to access from the outside instead of digging through from the top. The zippers are smooth and glides like butter. Material wise, its thick canvas, nicely stitched and sewn. I did not notice any loose strings or threads and even using it for additional trips, it still looks brand new. I would imagine the color to eventually get dirty and whatnot but any stains seem to come off easy with a damp cloth. Beautiful and functional tote.
