Truly impressed by Logitech's RS lineup

David W.November 29, 2025✓ Verified purchase

Admittedly when I was younger, I was really into racing online. Be it full sim, or just casual racing with friends, it was enjoyable. However, life gets in the way sometimes, and I found myself without the time I once had, so racing went on the back burner. I do dabble in some racing here and there, such as iRacing, Forza, Gran Turismo, and BeamNG. I used mostly controllers for those games. Then I saw Assessto Corsa Rally drop on Steam as early access, and being a huge WRC fan, I decided to download it. I tried it with the controller and had fun, but it was lacking. I went digging through my old gear and found a Logitech G27 setup that hadn't seen the light of day in many, many years. I hooked it up and it made a huge difference, but felt dated, clunky, and lacking. So I started poking around on Reddit to see what the simracing group was recommending. Moza was often recommended, but I saw a few callouts about the RS50 from Logitech. It happened to be at Black Friday so there was a discount running on the RS50. After thinking it over, I pulled the trigger on the RS50 wheel, RS pedals, and RS shifter/e-brake. I also ordered the clutch pedal module directly from Logitech since it wasn't listed on Amazon. A couple days later everything showed up. The first thing I noticed was how heavy the boxes were. Gone are the days of these devices truly feeling like toys. I opened up each box and was pleased with what I saw. Heavy duty, feels quality, good heft, easy instructions printed right on the inside of the box, and easy assembly. I already had Logitech's G-Hub installed on my computer because of a Logitech mouse, but that would prove problematic a bit later on. I updated G-Hub, connected everything together and mounted it on my desk. Everything was detected without a problem. I did some digging online to find good starting settings for ACR, did some testing of the pedals to dial in force/sensitivity, and into the game I went. After a couple of test runs I tweaked the settings in G-Hub and in the game itself a bit more, and got a time in the top 250 in the world on the first stage I played fully through. That was a massive improvement over the G27 and the feeling is outstanding. Keep in mind that ACR is early access and the FFB is not optimized yet, but I broke a sweat by the end of that stage. Gone is that clunky/popping/vibrating FFB that I had experienced over the years, and it was replaced by this quiet, linear, and much more realistic feel. Does it feel spot on like a real car? No, but it is night and day difference better than anything I experienced back in the day. The wheel feels quality. I do wear light gloves when racing. The buttons are all fully functional. I like the dials for things like differential, ABS, or brake bias settings while racing. There are plenty of buttons to control a majority of what you'd need on anything but the most complex simulated cars. The matching RS pedals feel great, though for now I had to elevate the front of the pedal platform using some rubber slotted vehicle jack pads (ASIN: B08MT7V3ND) for added comfort when using in a desk environment. The shifter/e-brake (I'm using as the e-brake) feels excellent. Good linear feel, really good quality, and everything just works. The downside was G-Hub. In my case everything was working great, but then while racing, usually during a hairpin corner when using the e-brake and downshifting, I'd lose all controls. The throttle may stick on, even though I'm off the pedals. I rebooted and it would work, and then happen again in ACR. In the end I had to fully remove G-Hub, remove files in my profile, program files, and program data. Basically remove all signs of G-Hub. I then rebooted, reinstalled, and thus far (fingers crossed) it has worked well with no issues. I also saved my profile to the wheel itself, so I'm hoping that helps as well. To close this out, these devices are not cheap. However, if you enjoy driving and racing, it's far cheaper than paying for the real thing. I found that for a modest investment, I have had an absolute blast. It changed the experience so much for me that now I'm looking at buying an actual cockpit, perhaps from Next Level Racing. Logitech has delivered a pretty dang good product here, and I honestly couldn't be happier. Read more

Best Entry Wheel into Direct Drive functionality.

Foskey SupremeFebruary 13, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I started with the g923. Let me tell you this RS50 was the upgrade I needed. With 8nm torque, I feel as if I’m driving the car, improved my time trials by 1-3 seconds and I feel the burn of driving at top speeds. Easy to install, set profiles to your driving skillsets and feels amazing. Unless you plan on mounting this wheel to your desk, the only Logitech driving cage you should purchase is the Trophy or Trophy G or higher. Do not purchase the Challenge X as the plate is too weak to hold this Direct Drive engine. I learned the hard way and ended up selling the Challenge X to purchase the Trophy G. Read more

NOT entry level..

Best decision ever made.. this wheel bundle is actually made to work with your PC, and with PlayStation.. however, you can also use the base with a Xbox wheel on Xbox. So the versatility is unique to this wheel bundle. You better be ready for the power of this wheel, as it has some of the strongest FFB that I've personally ever used. Luckily there's plenty of adjustability to suit whatever the situation calls for. Read more

Serious sim wheel setup

JenFebruary 19, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Holy cow this wheel and base are seriously good! I thought it was on the weak side when I first tried it. Then I realized it was set to like 4 strength. I turned it up to 8 out of 10 and sheez! It’s a real workout driving some of the cars in gran turismo 7. I can’t see wanting anything with a higher nm torque than this. I guess you could have more fidelity or resolution but as far as the strength / heaviness this one is already the real deal. Using it with RS pedals and play seat DD F1 cockpit. Very happy.
