Awesome booster! It charged and jump started a V6 car even with its car battery UNDER one volt!
This is a quickie review of a very useful and effective vehicle jump starter! Pros: -has a larger battery capacity -uses a lithium iron phosphate (or LiFePO4) battery, which lasts longer and is much safer than lithium-ion batteries -It has a MANUAL (force) mode, which allows boosting of COMPLETELY DEAD vehicle batteries! -battery clamp/connectors are of good heavy-duty quality. -very useful power bank with both USB-A and USB-C connectors (and a barrel connector) -charge this starter via your car's cigarette 12v outlet, or through its USB-C connector -comfortable carry handle -nice flashlight / strobe feature Cons: (sorry if it seems like I'm trying too hard here, heh) -price seems higher than typical lithium-ion type jump starters -seemingly no available LokiThor branded protective carrying case available -the internal battery does not seem to be easily replaceable (which seems typical) TLDR: I have both an older Sears Craftsman and a newer Deltran Battery Tender 3 amp charger. Unfortunately, both REFUSED to boost or charge a drained battery (which was down to UNDER ONE volt). This LokiThor J5000 Pro jump starter (with its MANUAL mode activated) was able to charge the battery and jump start the vehicle! As this LokiThor J5000 Pro is using a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) type rechargeable battery, in theory, it will last a lot longer than a lithium-ion type battery, and will also be MUCH SAFER to use. When I used my (AOHI MagCube) 140 watt PD 3.1 charger to charge this beast, it was very well behaved and only pulled a maximum of 100 watts of continuous power while charging itself. Many of the other LokiThor products seem to have the option of a carrying case. Unfortunately, this is not one of them (possibly due to its size). But it doesn't seem that large. At least it does have an easy carrying handle. And its also fairly light for what it does. As it's not the most intuitive product to use, remember to keep the PDF user manual handy on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer in case you're ever in need of its emergency features, and don't have the physical manual handy. (One can download the PDF manual at LokiThor dot net.) Notes: -This product is Made in China. -It does not feature an air pump. I will be updating this review as needed. But thus far, this product is a KEEPER! Nicely done, LokiThor! Read more
