Just adorable - perfect for either a young girl or a grown woman.
My great-niece has a birthday coming up and her favorite color is purple. Amethyst is her birthstone so we bought her an amethyst necklace and decided she needed a nice jewelry box to start up and grow a collection of jewelry as she ages. The color on this Lolajet jewelry box is very nice. It is a pale lavender with a a darker purple lavender stripe, and a gold bow clasp (no key to get lost in her room). It's classy looking and the material feels and looks like leather even though it isn't. There are larger compartments in the bottom for bracelets, watches, or even small ring boxes. The layer above that has a section of small grids for larger earrings, a section of several rows to hold rings or pins, and a longer front section for bracelets. Above that there's a pull out grid that holds pierced earrings and a decent-sized mirror, and when you pull that part off there's a section in the lid that holds necklaces with hooks at the top and an elastic pocket for the pendants to rest inside. The attached ribbon loops to lift things out with are long enough to be functional, but not so long that they get caught outside when you close it. It's large enough to hold a lot, but still small enough and light enough to travel with if so desired. The box itself has nice thick sides with a double layer construction and the individual grid sections are removable so you can make the sections larger if needed. For the price we paid, how cute it is, and the fact it can "grow" with her since it is suitable for both an adolescent and an adult, I feel it's an excellent value. Read more
