I love the look of these boots (bought both brown & black). Size 8 was too small, size 8.5 is a little big, which would be fine, but I have added shoe inserts & thick socks & they are still a little bigger than expected. Even with tying them as tight as possible, they are loose around the upper ankle...not very secure feeling. I am still wearing them, but they are not as comfortable as my Ariats...which they quit making...and these are the closest boots w/ that style I can find. So surprised London Fog would put their name on such a low quality material. Looks good new and size is true fit but, material is stiff, strings have too much resistance to pull through eyelets and very hard sole. Got them for a gift from my 90 year old mom or I would have returned them right away. London Fog, please did compromise you qualify any further. Read more

Absolutely terrible fit. Very uncomfortable in multiple places towards the end of the feet and around the ankles, which felt like if you had to walk far skin would get worn off. Very cheaply made. Not what you expect from a brand as historically well thought of as London Fog. May be the worst shoes/boots I've ever bought. Only upside was Amazon's excellent return policy and customer service. I had a pair of boots exactly like these I bought at Sears over 20 years ago....they were so comfortable and versatile. Last week my 3-year old bully dog got hold of them and destroyed them. My fault for not putting them in the closet! Anyway, I saw these London Fog boots and they looked just like the ones I lost, and they didn't disappoint. Very nice quality and nice fit. I usually wear 8-1/2 but ordered 9 to be safe. They'll be perfect once they're worn a few times and broken in. Happy shopper here! :-) Read more

I was looking for an all around fall ankle boots that I can wear both casually and with dressy tops. These shoes are exactly that! I really like the style of them. I can picture myself wearing these boots with stockings, a vintage-y floral dress and a chunky cardigan. I can’t wait to wear them this fall at my college campus! I have semi-wide feet, I purchased my usual size 9 and it fits good and is very roomy. There is some good cushion, thin soft lined material inside of the boots and the outer leather is nice and soft too! It also says on the tag that they’re water-resistant. I wouldn’t wear them in the rain though. From a few wears the boots have stretched out a bit for me but nothing major. Plenty of room for me to wear thick ankle socks. The only concern I have for these boots is that I am not sure how long they will hold up. Though, I don’t plan to wear them all the time so I guess that will prolong the longevity of them for many fall/winters to come. 10/10 would recommend if it corresponds with your wardrobe. Looks absolutely great with leggings, tights, short ankle skinny jeans, blouses, vintage sweaters and dresses. Just not the right kind of boots for everyday wear so if you get them wear them in moderation. Read more
