Love this leash. Its sturdy, great quality, holds up in the water and long enough to use for training and ball play in the water. Used this leash to train my dog to walk without a leash and it was perfect to have the 30 foot extension for the training. Its also perfect for taking our dog to the park to play ball fetch in the river. Gives her plenty of room to jump in and hunt the ball, but also gives me control if she tries to go after a squirrel or other park creature. Love the color choices and seems like it will hold up for along time. Read more

The material great and durable. Not suitable for dog walking or tying the dog and leaving unsupervised because it tangles easily. Read more

Love this lead, I got it in orange. I use it only while using a chuck-it and ball to exercise my neighbor’s 3 year old shepherd mix. It’s fabulous! Sometimes my bare legs/ankles (it’s currently hot summer) get exposed to this lead at high speed as Sir Cubby Dog runs flat out after the ball and _it does not_ give me rope burns, so yay! Because I chose the bright orange it is also obvious to passerby’s that the dog and I are still connected (he can’t reach the side walk or whatever, it helps everyone feel safe). An adult dog could chew this lead in 30 seconds but it works absolutely perfect for both of us as I just described. I just ordered my 2nd one so wanted to take the time to say, ‘yes, absolutely epic, thank you!’ I’m starting to get the hang of the chuck-it ball launcher and hope to need more than 50 feet soon :D. I used it for only the second time today, to get where we are going I use a real leash and then just bring along the orange cloth leash and doggy exercise equipment in a bag. The metal end which connects with your dog or puppies collar is great (excellent quality) so you could certainly safely train and walk your puppy using these leads. Or a well trained ‘not inclined to chew the lead’ dog. I absolutely love your product! Thank you! Read more

We bought this leash to ensure out dog stay in our front yard when we are out front. The 30ft length allows her to get to the front lawn. So far it hasn't been any issues. We have one end attached to an eye bolt in the wall and the other attaches to her collar. Works as we hoped. My only wish is that it was a little wider. The description absolutely called out 5/8" wide. On the plus side, it's not terribly heavy for her to drag all the leash with her. Read more

I have always had 3 or 4 big dogs at a time. They weigh between 80 to 120 lbs, and I cannot put them all on leashes at the same time. I live in Maine, with at least 100 acres of woods behind my house, and we walk the trails 6 to 8 times a day. I always use an e-collar on these walks, but if one (or two) of them have bolted on me recently, I keep these leashes on them for a week or so until I feel they are under control again. (We call it the punishment leash). Tie a half dozen or so knots a couple of feet apart near the handle end, so if they do bolt all you need to do is step on it to stop them. Without the knots, it will just pull right through. Do NOT pick up the leash to try to stop them, it will peel the skin right off your hands (or ankles). As a safety feature, these leashes are specifically made lightweight and easy to chew through. They are used for dogs that you don't yet trust, so chances are no matter how careful you are they can still bolt faster than you can catch them. Dragging a long leash through the woods means it will eventually get caught, and you can just follow the drag marks or the barking to find them. However, twice I've had a dog go missing for hours (once during a blizzard) only to finally turn up dragging 6 feet of leash. They had chewed through it and disaster was averted. Another time my GSD took off after geese in a pond and his leash got stuck on something under the water, but he freed himself in seconds. A couple of years ago, my sweet black Golden Lab (yes that is a thing) took off with 60 feet of leash trailing, and I spent 10 hours in the cold rain looking for her. Unfortunately, she doesn't bark, ever. I figured she was stuck somewhere, but I couldn't find her. When it got dark out and I was giving up, two policemen from my town came out and helped me search for another two hours. We finally found her tangled in the bushes on a neighbors summer property. She is such a gentle dog that she has never chewed through anything, including her leashes. Another of my dogs chewed through it with one snap a couple of weeks later. So, these leashes are NOT tie out leashes, they are made to break in emergencies, just like cats collars. And that is a very, very good thing, not a defect. They should only be used when you are with them supervising them. Tie out cables should be used when you want them to stay put (although you should still keep an eye on them) and never as a trailing training leash as they (usually) cannot be chewed through and the whiplash from the clasp end could seriously injure you or your dog. The media could not be loaded. im so happy I bought tis longgg lease even tho there were many negative reviews about the quality . so I have a rescue puppy who is very fearful of noises and whenever I took her to the common garden area to play, she would run back home which isn't far but I don't want her to get lost. so my trainer suggested to get long lease so I can catch her fast when she trys to run home. n it helped. we go play there everyday for 2 hrs . I had tis product for atlas 4-5 months , even washed it once but still perfect and at night I can easy see my dog as she is black n the lease is orange ( fyi it doesn't glow but you can miss it either ) . worth the money spend wit peace of mind as a plus. Quality seemed good at first but the stitching gave way after a few months and the latch broke. Decent length for training but not one to be used long term. Read more
