Purge the butane reservoir before use, and at each refilling. This is critical for any butane fueled lighter. My unit works perfectly, delivering a precise flame on activation. I am thrilled with the fact that this lighter is refillable. I no longer need to keep a backup lighter. Read more
DO NOT PURCHASE SAFETY HAZARD! If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I purchased this as I have enjoyed my butane lighters in the past, but this product is a literal safety hazard. All lighters I have used in the past would shut off the second you let go of the button, to ensure safety. Not this lighter, it merely takes it as a "suggestion" and will keep running until it decides to shut off on it's own. I tried adjusting the gas that it puts out, but it is either to low that it won't light, or will not shut off when you let go. I finally had to smash the tip to get it to stop leaking gas even after the lighter was off. Look at my review history, I do not post often, and I do my best to not be negative, but this lighter is a major safety issue, purchase at your own risk. Read more
