Loolinn Durable RC Cars for Kids - Hobby Grade 1 16 RC Truck Top Speed 19mph Adjustable Speed

This is a tough little booger, and goes pretty fast. Entry level RC car is much slower than the $1000 hobbiest models, going 1/4 to 1/5 the speed, but that's good enough for me and this is a great price for someone to get as a first RC car. The manufacturer sells upgrade metal axels, gears, suspension arms etc so you can build the car up to higher quality later if you want, but this is pretty tough out of the box. This does struggle a bit with field grass, and is better suited to dirt trails, pavement, and gravel. (Gravel may increase the likelyhood of breakage based on my experience with a different RC car long ago that had similar axel design, but since the manufacturer's website has plenty of affordable replacement parts I wouldn't worry about that too much.) The media could not be loaded. I purchased this item to amuse my daughter with, but I am probably more amused and Amazed by it than she is. It is very powerful, and amazingly fast! It also very durable. Sometimes I run it into things accidentally, and it bounces off and continues to roll. Sometimes my daughter even steps on the wheels, and there's been no damage to the unit. Even in the grass it is amazingly powerful and fast. And all of this is on the slowest speed setting. You definitely have to have open space for the highest speed setting. It is very fast, and the speed makes it very easy to do tricks with. It is by far the most powerful RC product that I have ever owned. It is as much fun for an adult as it is for a child. I think I finally found a winner. So far the most durable RC truck we have gotten for the kids. Super happy with the quality and capability. Been through three or four weekends of playing and haven't had any issues. By far the best fit for our family with drivers of multiple skill levels and ages. We have been able to take it camping and it crawls over everything! Also super fun in the front yard. By far I think the best feature is the top speed adjustment knob that's located right on the transmitter. You can adjust for new drivers by decreasing the top speed of the RC truck in less than a second! I don't know why this wasn't a feature when I was a kid. I'm sure my parents would have loved that. With the speed turned all the way up the truck has enough power to pull wheelies in the street and handles jumps no problem! I decided to give this one a try since it’s Loolinns first release of a wheeled RC. I love Loolinn drones so much I had to have their next newest release. The Ravage RaceTruck M16. My first impressions of this RC upon receiving it was it looked like every other RC truck I’ve seen on the market. I was very wrong. As an FPV (drone) pilot I always focus on, and appreciate a solid, and clean build which I found under the body of this beauty. The electronics were very well thought out, and placed for easy replacement or upgrades. It comes a with a removable 2 cell LiPo battery pack which makes it really nice so you have the option to purchase more packs for hours of more fun. This truck is extremely solid and durable and made to accommodate all RC enthusiasts ages 8+. I’ve ran this RC truck as hard as I could to see how it would withstand with the younger RC hobbyists. With that being said I haven’t managed to break or damage a single part or piece yet. If damage were to happen the parts can easily be purchased to repair any issues. It turns out I love this RC truck so much that I plane to purchase and do a full upgrade version to do a comparison review sometime in the near future. I liked it enough to pickup a couple more 1/18th scale trucks to race it with. This one has slightly bigger tires than others and does better in the rough stuff. Plenty fast for kids to drive around. This RC is great for kids my 8 Year old son loves it he jumps it off curbs and runs it in the street and dirt. It is strong and durable and the speed is adjustable for just starting out. Flaw: the charging situation. To charge the car you have to take the whole top part off. This requires removing 4 pins and awkwardly pulling the plastic housing off. I take mine in the dirt so it is a messy process. Other than that I cannot complain, the battery life is pretty long and charges pretty fast, never had an issue with it not being charged when I wanted it or running out of battery when using it. I put a camera on the top and fireworks in the back and actually drove it around, the little guy can really support some weight. Another con comes from its speed though, IT IS FAST, however, there is a LOT of body roll and it can easily flip over. Read more
