This was a step up from some $40 cars that had proportional steering and throttle, but no suspension. This was less than $20 more than those, but way better in speed, suspension, steering precision, and throttle control. This has four wheel springs & dampers of some sort - don't know if they are actually damping. But this is so fun to drive. I'm pretty sure I looked at every car on Amazon and settled on this because of the speed and proportional steering. And i wasn't disappointed. I decided to get my kids and I some of the fastest cars on Amazon to race around the little park in our neighborhood. I was looking for good speed and handling. Visually speaking, this is a decent car and it looks good. However, further inspection and once you get the car running, you’ll notice that’s where it ends as far as the goodness. The body gets in the way of the suspension working, it hits the tires after maybe a quarter inch of travel and it’s already hit the body on tires. The body would need some major trimming in order for it to be able to have full suspension travel. The speed is slow. It’s slow. It’s unimpressive. Don’t expect much as far as speed goes. As the title says, I was literally expecting trash. I was going to use it as a fast cat training tool for our dogs. But it actually performed so good that I still have nit used it for that. It drifts/drives most terrains I throw at it. I even bought extra batteries for it. $60 bought it and I'm extremely happy with it. I want to take it to a skate park next. Only downfall is that rocks can get inside the cars body and get jammed in the drive shaft. It's happened twice out if the several times I've gone crazy in gravel. Read more
